this was taken a few minutes before the end of the full darkness. it was actually my last shot from this trip. i didn’t like it, but after some time i think the shot is not bad and it is quite different to all the other photos from this place. (this is not composite) what do you think?
just for the information, i won’t be much active in next few weeks due to my birthday and incoming school. also, i am changing two lenses and getting ready for the winter. i am really excited for the fall colours and snow 😊
Sunrise from the chleb mountain. this place is located in the malá fatra nature park in slovakia. i didn't sleep for the whole night, and even though i didn't make a single milky way shot, due to wind, low clouds, cold, dozens and dozens of spiders which i am scared of to death and due. originally i didn't even plan to take pictures of the sunrise, but it was such cold that i forced myself to pack my backpack again and climb back up from the cable car. i nearly missed it, but at the end it was a wonderful spectacle.
for me, one of the most stressful photoshoots. the road ended earlier than i expected, so i had to somehow get to the top. the mountain is named tauernhöhe and it is 2328 meters high. on the top i prepared camera and tripod and started waiting for the clouds to disappear. numerous storms were passing by all around me, and sometimes there was even a lightning in the distance - it was also raining most of the way up. even though it miraculously cleared. as soon as the moonlight began to shine, clouds covered the sky again within 10 minutes. that's why i consider this shooting was quite a miracle. bright star under the moon is mars.
this is scene from my first night under the corsican night sky. took me around 2 hours to get to this spot? anyway, got to the top later than i wanted, so i had to sneak foreground in the dark. two bright planets aligned with the milkyway are mars and jupiter. light pollution on the right side is from ajaccio. i tried to get some sleep after shooting, but it was too cold so after one hour i decied to get down, and wait for sunrise. hope you like it!
moonlight wasn't planned, anyway the moon rised right when i was shooting foreground :d
A lot of people found that green cast unrealistic, even though it was made by airglow, so i decided to get rid of it and i also added the whole sky.
valley with dozens of waterfalls somewhere in the alps. it was raining for the whole evening and we went to the car for some sleep. i couldn’t fall asleep, and after about an hour i looked out of the window and saw that the sky had magicy cleared up! quicly packed everything and got out of the forest where we parked. this was the first composition i shot as a test shot, but it took me 2 hours to realize that i this is actually the best one. there was propably some storm right behind this mountain, because the sky was constantly flashing for the whole night. this night was one of the many nights without even a minute of sleep. light on the mountains is the first light from wanning crescent moon and the green tint in the night sky is caused by strong green airglow, which is quite typical for the alps. milkyway is shifted a bit to the right side.
