this is about how fast i thought i was moving during the workout but that was not the case.
the workout was a @tickertraining threshold wod.

workouts that are more sprint like have always been a struggle for me, but i have been getting much better at them lately. ending up taking me about 1:30 every round.

to most it’s just another wod but i really looked forward to retesting this workout every so often.
the first time i did this workout in april i was at about 170+ bpm the entire workout. it took me 37 minutes and at the time was one of the hardest workouts i have done. that’s when i decided that it wasn’t enough to just go to the gym. it was time to start thinking the stuff that happens outside the gym like nutrition and sleep.
when i did the wod yesterday it took me 32 minutes and stayed under 160bpm the entire time. at no point did i feel like i was going to die and it was my 2nd wod of a two and a half hour long session yesterday.
slow down, pace yourself, this s**t works.

halfway through week 4/15 for @diezvista 50k training. a full couple hours of training at @cftreetown this evening: ⁣

⭐️5x5 back squats (last set at 145lbs shown)⁣
⭐️kept going to finish out the 5k row in the wod after the time cap, and was happy that all those power cleans moved so smoothly at 100lbs⁣
⭐️another 5k, but on foot, at an easy pace. ⁣

have been feeling pretty strong lately and hitting some #bigboynumbers thanks to @tickertraining strength problem. just because you slow down during the wods doesn’t mean your strength numbers won’t go up! .

emily has made huge improvements to her health and fitness since starting ticker training at crossfit treetown. since starting, she has managed to lose 30 pounds while gaining strength and an aerobic base. emily comes to class regularly and has put so much work into improving her lifts and technique. she has been focusing on her body composition and nutrition with claire, but her work ethic and commitment are what make her a star ⭐️. can’t wait to see what else this young woman can accomplish! 👊
