Having a whale of a time doing @makeitindesign#summerschoo2018 #advanced. the plan yesterday was to work on the creative exercise, but i got a little side tracked with an idea, that doesn't really fit in with the brief. oooops!!! i ended up sketching sea creatures and creating a whale in illustrator.
Fitted in some research for the fiesta folk art brief this afternoon. created a wee mood board, but not sure where i'm going to go with this yet. next step is to start sketching and getting my ideas down on paper :)
As if i don't do enough in my days, at the beginning of the week i signed up for @makeitindesigns summer school. jumping in at the deep end and challenging myself (again!!!) with the advanced track. first brief is fiesta - folk repeats. i haven't even started yet so better get my skates on. i've set aside 1 hour this afternoon to make a start on this and hoping to get some more done this evening ....lets see how this goes :)
a wee mandala that i created a few years ago.if you would like to download it and colour it in you can download it from freebie friday july link in bio it prints onto a4 (21 x 29.7cm) paper.
i'd love to see what colours you use 😊
Still working on my new website, which is taking me longer than usual as i keep changing things lol i've also started work on one of the many creative ideas that i have had, will show you more of that soon. it was another beautiful sunny day yesterday so i took a few minutes in the afternoon to set up my go pro to take a quick wee time lapse of the fluffy white clouds passing by to be followed by dark dull thick cloud.... it got quite chilly.
I've been a little absent on social media, but busy working and enjoying a few days off. on saturday we drove over to blair castle to visit our friend, who gave us a personal 5 hour tour of the castle. what an amazing place, history overload, i need to go back as i want to see more. beautiful drive through glen shee and our perfect scottish countryside. then fish and chips in aboyne while we watched the river dee flow by, before the last leg of our journey home. 6 hour round drive but worth it...fantastic day 😁
This wee original watercolour dreamcatcher aceo was one of my favourites, but it headed off to a new home this week. hope it's new owner loves it as much as i loved and enjoyed creating it.
there's other originals and prints available from my shop on #etsy, link in bio
