So very true. don’t forget it. ///// people say social media can have a terrible impact on one’s confidence, etc. (i agree it isn’t a place for children.) but if done right, social media can help you grow and to be a better person. you just have to follow the right people. a good example? @forthegoodofficial .
i am a new follower and fan. ❤️

Parenting is a roller coaster. one minute your kid does something and you think, “man oh man, i’m not doing enough. i am not raising my kid well.” then the next moment your child uses $10 of her christmas money to leave an extra tip for a hard-working waitress and your heart soars. 💫 lila melts me. ❤️ ///// if you are in a parenting-rough-patch, hang in there and stay strong. a good patch is around the corner.
I have been getting a lot of questions about how i am able to handle being on a large cruise when i have social anxiety issues. it is possible to enjoy these big ships and avoid crowds... you just have to be smart about it. we don’t do cruise excursions (they can often be packed) and instead arrange to do our own thing by researching each stop. this is my biggest tip. also, we avoid the buffets (often crowds) and the pool area during peak times. there are always quiet spots on the ships we have been on. (we like norwegian the most by far of the different lines we have been on.) the reason we like to do cruises once in awhile is that they are an easy way to see a few places in one trip and the kids like them. i do have moments where it is hard for me (especially day 1) but i promised myself that i can’t let my anxiety keep me from any travel. so if you have ever wondered about cruises and how you would handle with anxiety, know that it is possible to enjoy! ❤️
I am so thankful i got to see my friend @gumption_official ! i admire and respect gumption tremendously. we are from two very different worlds but have become friends because we share three big passions - the importance of helping those around us... the love of the islands... and the joy of being an entrepreneur. he has been the one who helped us all help those who were most hurt by hurricane irma. i hope to do more work with him in 2019 and hope you will join me! this friendship is also a great reminder to be open to faraway and unlikely friendships. they are often the most rewarding. ❤️ (and if you are vacationing in the british v****n islands, be sure to hire him to take you out on his family-friendly boat adventures. they are life changing!)
Spent time on tortola today. it was very hard to see the signs of hurricane irma. but signs of growth do provide hope. half of this tree survived and it was perfectly beautiful. ❤️ and by the way - these colors are real - god is a wonderful artist. (photo is of ken and audrey.)
