When i met this girl she couldn't buy a beer, scarcely 20 years old. all bright eyed and bushy-tailed, new to the los angeles hollywood scene. she was, and still is, the most beautiful girl on the block; green eyes blazing emerald fire with a wit quick enough to match and just enough innocence to be cute, but not enough that you'd try to get one past her.
life throws curveballs though, and so everything hasn't come easy for her all the time. i've watched her reinvent herself a time or six, take a licking here and there, and come back for more... stronger, smarter, more whip smart and twice as determined each time. sometimes you're forced to reexamine who you are and what you believe - most people resist and aren't capable of it - but this girl welcomes it and grows each time, a better version of herself. hopefully she's proud of that.
ten years have past, she's now my wife, and ten times the girl i met when she was twenty. she's more fearless, twice as determined, and magnitudes more confident then that girl i met on the beach. welcome to your 30's, gorgeous. now you'll get to see that everything up until now is just the prelude to what is to come in this book of life for you. i love the way you write and can't wait to see what the next chapters hold... love you muches, happiest of birthdays. ♥️
