I used to take gracie on all my adventures. neither of us enjoy running so we walked everywhere together. she never had to say a word, but i knew she was happy. there have been so many changes in my life, but she's the one furry thing that has remained consistent. #tbt#sidekick
One of my favorite leg exercises! lunges are great for stability and building strength in your glutes and hams. stepping backwards is a great way to start the progression of weighted lunges, next time i'll switch it up!

25 box jumps
10 dips with leg raises
25 single leg deadlifts each leg
10 pullup burpees
10 squats with kb upright row

One of the most beautiful hikes i've done started in waipio and crossed about 8 miles of valleys and mountains to waimanu where i camped over night with my hammock, water, a lighter and some banana bread. the rain tried to wash me out, but when the night cleared the sky was illuminated by millions of stars. i was in a dead zone but i felt more alive than ever. i spent the morning playing in the ocean then hiked back to waipio where i met up with some wild horses. sorry for the long post but this was one of the awesomest adventures i've taken.
