When you're in a funk and all your body craves is random sides ๐Ÿฅฃ literally made mexican black beans and buttered lentils ๐Ÿ˜ i know sooo weird but these combos were actually really good and i'm totally repeating ๐Ÿ™Œ does anyone else ever just crave sides? #listentoyourbody #whocares #intuitiveeating recipes below - inspo from #belleofthekitchen and @cookinglight .

buttery lentils ๐Ÿฅฃ
1 cup lentils
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp chopped thyme (or 1/4 tsp dried)
s+p to taste
โ–ชcook the lentils per instructions. meanwhile melt butter in pan at medium heat, add onion and saute 4-5 min or until soft, add lentils, herbs and salt and pepper and stir till mixed and warm .

mexican black beans
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can black beans undrained
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt โ–ชheat olive oil in pan at medium high heat, saute onions and garlic and cook 3-4 min or until onions begin to soften. add black beans, cilantro, cumin and salt, stir well and reduce heat to medium low and allow to cook for 15 minutes stirring occasionally. adjust seasoning to your taste. serve sprinkled with more cilantro ๐ŸŒฟ
