On saturday, union terminal and the cincinnati museum center will reopen to the public after more than two years of construction repairing the deteriorating 500,000-square-foot structure.
built in 1933, union terminal holds court in the queen city.
originally built as a train station, it is an icon of art deco architecture. it is the largest half-dome in the western hemisphere. it possesses the winold reiss mosaic mural masterpieces.
now 85, the building will soon enter its next phase. one that is being heralded as not just a renovation, but a renaissance.
