Last night we had a great time watching hr-big band in frankfurt’s neu altstadt. it was a celebration of the opening of the renovated old city with thousands of people in attendance. a good way to get involved with the community!

The römer and the goldener schwan buildings. these are buildings that have served as the city hall (rathaus) for the city of frankfurt since the 1500’s! it was a fun night exploring this interesting city!

Hello everyone,
it is hard to believe that in just less than three months i will be relocating to frankfurt to begin my journey as a member of the oper frankfurt opernstudio!
over the past few months i have applied for a number of scholarships and grants to support my relocation. i am very humbled to have recently been the recipient of the 2018 brian boak outstanding performer bursary. this bursary was awarded by the empire theatres foundation, which supports young people to achieve their goals in the performing arts, from the beginning of their learning to nurturing professional practice.
i would like to thank the empire theatres foundation for supporting me through such an important moment in my professional and artistic development.

Hi everyone,
as many of you are aware, i have recently been offered a contract for opera frankfurt’s opera studio in september. this is a truly wonderful opportunity and my step towards an international career! understandably the costs of relocating to another country and living for a year are substantial and so i am seeking financial support for my travel, relocation and living costs in frankfurt throughout my participation in this program. if you wish to support me in this way, i have created an australian cultural fund fundraising project through which you can make tax deductible donations for donations over $2. you can click on the link below for more information. your donation would be greatly appreciated.
thank you for supporting this exciting stage in my career! as soon as i touch down in europe i will be providing updates as often as i can!

I am extremely excited to announce that i have been offered a position in the prestigious opera frankfurt opera studio for season 2018/19. i will be relocating to frankfurt, germany in september 2018!

as part of this program i will be performing the main stage roles of the italian tenor in strauss's capriccio, ein offizier in strauss's ariadne auf naxos, basilio/don curzio in mozart's the marriage of figaro and others that are yet to be confirmed. there will be many other exciting concerts and performances, as well as regional tours. as this is also a professional development program, i will be able to learn from some of the best teachers and coaches in europe, have regular german lessons, network with international opera agents, as well as participate in masterclasses with internationally renowned opera singers.
i feel fortunate that i have been given this opportunity and i am very much looking forward to taking on the many challenges of beginning an international career.

Here are a few action shots from last night’s mozart concert with the heidelberg choral society. it was my first time performing as tenor soloist for the mozart requiem, and wow is the music hauntingly beautiful! thank you to my fellow soloists katherine radcliffe, anna plotka and nick dinopoulos who sang extremely well. it was wonderful singing with the very confident and full sounding heidelberg choral society and heidelberg choral society orchestra. and a big thank you to maestro peter bandy for leading the charge, we have finally worked together at long last! thank you to all of my friends and family for coming along! we performed to a full house! enjoy the rest of your sunday!
