His first apple picking adventure was a success. and we discovered a new beautiful spot just 30 minutes from montreal. organic apple trees, a wildlife reserve and beautiful lake views-a must visit! so happy i searched outside the usual apple picking suspects this year in hopes of finding a pesticide free orchard. #organicapples#nopesticides
Ready to blast off into the weekend like...
had the weekend all planned out and then learned that we're having a major heat wave and may have to stay inside, i.e. no apple picking. thinking about heading to the bookstore and picking out some new chapter books to read at bedtime. any reccos that would please both a 6yr old boy and 8yr old girl?

Happy new year (shana tova) to all those celebrating! 🍎🍯
hoping to make a fresh start with some aspects of our parenting approach. i recently joined a parlour group where we're addressing issues including discipline, respect, internet usage and making mom queen of the house again. should be an interesting journey ... what is your best parenting tip?
Let's be honest.
a weekend in nyc with kids sounds a lot more glamorous than it is. trudging through times square to go to the m&ms store, squeezing 5 people into a tiny hotel room (baby sleeps in the bathroom), eating at corner diners...
if nothing else it just makes you want an adults-only weekend there asap.

This is how most of my days start. this guy, smiling and waiting for his bottle of milk.
he can't live without it but at 16 months i'm starting to think it's time to give it up. when did your b**e say bye bye to the bottle? 🍼
This is where you'll find me most days at 8:45. i walk into the house after dropping everyone off and enjoy a moment of silence, with a cup of coffee, before plowing into my day.
working from home certainly has its perks. like wearing running shoes, when you don't have any meetings...
I’ve been using instagram for a while, but it’s time to make a friendly introduction to my new followers. i'm lauren. wife to one and mom to three (plus a furry one too). hannah is 8, alex is almost 6 and leo is 16 months. we live in montreal, canada.
i am the co-owner of a marketing agency, meaning i have two full time jobs: being a mom and an entrepreneur.
seeing as i have limited free time, i try to get my kids to love some of my favorite things too, like baking, skiing and being outside.
i hope to relaunch my blog soon and share my favorite places, spaces and gear for families. oh, and my hubby gets a good 50% credit for the photos in my feed (like this one).
i look forward to getting to know you more, so leave a comment and introduce yourself.
A weekend of art, inspiration and getting organized as dad leaves us for 4 days. not quite sure how i'm going to get 3 kids, fully dressed, lunches in hand, out the door at 7:50am...
any tips? already laid out their clothes and going to prep lunches now.
I'm admitting it.
it's impossible to be the perfect mom and do it all.
after two hard, long weeks (back to school, gastro, lice, crazy amounts of work) i'm realizing that there aren't enough hours in the day to get it all done. while i felt tired and like i was letting everyone down, it took my nanny to remind me that i'm actually doing a great job. this afternoon she said to me "i don't know how you do it all." just a few words and i felt reassured. i may think that i am letting balls drop but to others i seem like i've got it all figured out.
so as i sit down at 9pm to start my third shift of the day (this time in front of my computer), i'll add a dash of protein powder into my smoothie and try my best to remember that if i can't do it all, that's ok. really.
12 years later, a little more tired and 3 kids in tow we're still the same dynamic duo who complement each other perfectly.
we didn't spend the day at a spa or brunching without kids. we got woken up at 4am when they thought it was time to bring us breakfast in bed, and literally ran after leo most of the day. it's anything but glamorous but if you have right partner next to you it's not as exhausting and definitely a lot more fun. happy anniversary @chrism514 ❤️💑😴
All the berry goodness...
but ever since i started taking notice of the "dirty dozen" the not organic variety seems less than appealing and i find myself making trips to multiple stores throughout the week to get all the groceries i need. what's your favorite montreal source for organic fruits and veggies?
