Made a dash out to south queensferry this afternoon to shoot the old rail bridge in the drizzle. i wanted to do this to get the effect of the bridge coming out of the mist/drizzle with much of the background being hidden because of that. in hindsight i wish i'd taken a longer exposure to smooth out the water more, so it looked a bit more like the soft featureless sky. ah well, there will be other drizzly days to try that, it is scotland after all.
despite the awesome colours that were on display i thought a monochrome would work too with the white water flowing around the black rocks and the dark ruins of dunstanburgh set off amongst the differing tones of the sky.
had a great day down in northumberland today, the sunrise was the best i've ever seen there in a number of visits and set the tone for the day!
was good to bump into and chat with steve from @sharp_exposures too.
Had a flick through the lr catalogue and found this sunset shot from north berwick lurking around unprocessed.
thought i'd process it and get in the mood for a wee trip down to northumberlands coastline tomorrow.
Seen better days... a visual representation of how i feel today! suffering the after effects from over indulging in the b***e at my brothers rock n roll/music themed fancy dress party last night.
not sure it's seaworthy.. burntisland harbour
