Big sky above loch tollaidh
we spent a great day driving around the north west discovering views by chance and as and where the road would take us. looking back over loch tollaidh towards the mountains i was drawn in by the clouds that filled the expansive sky.
Hole in one
went down to seacliff on sunday to take advantage of the moody conditions, the rain was never far away and did eventually arrive but got some nice shots before then. with the tide going out found the sinkhole that is sometimes known as the bathtub or jacuzzi.
Many people talk about the road to applecross, up and over the bealach na ba, as a challenging drive. you have to assume they haven't driven the road to lower daibaig when you hear that, it has it's fair share of hairpin bends too but also the rising and falling blind summits on the single track road that leave you wondering what direction the road is taking, if its even there at all, once you rise over the peak, are a little on the hair raising side, if you have any left that is, after the journey!
this is the view back over loch torridon and to the mountains of beinn na h-eaglaise on the left and the multiple peaks of beinn damh on the right.
