This is what makes “us” us. the people around us experience the overflow of our hearts. what is in your heart always comes out. good or bad, this is what will come out. “but the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.” matthew 15:18
ever noticed or took inventory of what comes out of your mouth? more precisely ever wondered what is in your heart? a quick way to take inventory is to see what comes out of your mouth.
is it: anger, fear, jealousy, pride, selfish, critical, controlling, unloving, judgmental
what if we took back control, rather, surrendered control of that heart. not to those things that hurt or harm others and ourselves. to things that create regret or bring about toxic responses or decisions.
what if we let go to the one who loves us to the core of that heart we have. who has our best interest in mind. what if we embraced the lover of our soul and heart and jesus who is love, and let him be what is shown overflowing from us.
love always changes a heart. a heart that is changed will always show itself differently.
what comes out your heart? what comes out of mine?
is it what you want to come out? is it healthy or toxic or harmful? is it compassionate or loving?
There is a grave that holds no body
and now that power lives in me “we always carry around in our body the death of jesus, so that the life of jesus may also be revealed in our body.”
2 corinthians 4:10
“for god so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. for god did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
john 3:16-17 “but god demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, christ died for us.”
Justified: to declare innocent or guiltless; absolve; acquit. “and that is what some of you were. but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the lord jesus christ and by the spirit of our god.”
