Sea otter trying to sleep on mom! 😍
how cute is this? 😊
curious fact: newborn sea otter pups are so buoyant they can’t immediately dive for food. but they still love to have a nap on their mums belly. sea otter moms typically only give birth to 1 pup. the gestation is taking about 6 months (2 months delayed implantation + 4 months pregnancy). the pups begin to dive and forage at about 2 months. sea otter moms typically nurse and care for their pups for about 6 months before weaning them.

“water bottle companies don’t produce water. they produce plastic.” we need to stop supporting businesses that don’t have our best interest or the environment’s. there are many awesome companies out there that actually care about the earth. so let’s vote with our dollars and support those who value people and the planet over profits.

This here is lola 💕 she is a kemp ridley sea turtle. as you can see, she is missing a flipper. when she was a hatchling, she was found with fishing line wrapped around her flipper. she was rescued, rehabilitated and then release back into the wild. a few days later she was found again with fishing line wrapped around her same flipper. this time so tight when she was rescued, it was amputated and then she was deemed unreleasable. she lives in the key west aquarium now and is 16 years old. i was lucky enough to care for her for a short time.
these sea turtles are critically endangered.
i miss this little girl 💚 #turtletuesday
please don’t throw your trash into the ocean 🙏
Spending time with mom and saw a shop that had the @4ocean bracelets, which she’s always wanted. the big smile on her face says how happy she is to finally get her one pound bracelet.
Here is something completely different to all the tropical photographies, but something that helps to keep your beautiful beach view clean and makes sure that there is no plastic bag flying through the background.
we were sitting around a table talking about @gretathunberg when i started playing with the blue chocolate wrappings. it resulted in a spontaneous video project: we folded boats and ships, sculpted small figures like a whale and a sailor, creating a whole scenery out of plastic wrappings, sweets, nuts, bottles and other objects that we found between our hands. did you know that there is a plastic carpet called "the great pacific garbage patch" releasing bpa and other harmful chemicals into the ocean? when we throw gum wrappers or plastic cups onto the street, it can end up in the stormwater system or a river and be washed out to the sea. isn't that horrible? it's too easy to just close a covered bin, so that the trash can't be blown away.
i think, our planet, the ocean and all the animals are worth it to help reducing our daily plastic usage. and your beach view as well, isn't it?
Love 💚 these #plasticfree#reusable and if need be after 120-150 uses, #compostable food wraps by @shopetee 👏 although they are not vegan since they contain beeswax, i’ll take these over #plasticwrap, which i loathe on every level possible lol 😆 bad for the environment and just a horrible-to-use product, plastic wrap is rarely #recycled ♻️ because it clogs the machines necessary for #recycling 👎
super easy to use! let’s move towards more #environmentallyfriendly products 🙌 and monetarily, the average american uses 10 to 24 rolls a year pf plastic wrap to the tune of almost $90 😵💵 or spend $18 on this set 🤔 tough choice 🤪

Do you know most personal care products contain microplastics? shampoo🧴, shower gel🧼, lipstick💄, shaving cream, sunscreen, moisturizers…yes! almost all of them. these microplastics would enter the ocean and harm sea life. when we eat seafood...🐟🦑 you know what’s gonna happen.
if you love the ocean💕, check the labels of your personal care products to see if they contain the most common type of microplastics.

Watched the tractor raking treasure island beach, fl on my run this morning. see that loop and patch of debris in the surf? that's all the rubbish they collected on that pass being dumped to wash back into the gulf of mexico to k**l sea life, pollute the water, and wash back up on this and other beaches. #cleanupyouredoingitwrong#whywecanthavenicethings#cleanseas#4ocean

In a world where we tend to think too much and feel too little.
there comes a moment when we simply need to stop all that noise.
by practicing you can establish a deep connection of body and mind - through movement and breath.
once we can control our mind, that's the moment when we can all truly come alive ☀️💙🌍
this is one of my favorite locations to practice pilates or yoga in the mornings. it is located on the beautiful island of mauritius. where you can spend the best time of your life. go surfing, windsurfing, kiting hiking or just sit down at the beach and enjoy the beauty of the present. ✨💙☀️🌍
thank you so much for the time we spent here and the photo @ranja_sch

we have always made sure to educate our kids about how important and precious our planet is...one of the many things we are passionate about is our oceans! no matter where we are in the world we always participate in clean ups, do our own or ask others to join ours... sometimes that can be only a few pieces of garbage we see on the way back from a surf, sometimes it can mean spending an amazing morning on the beach picking up a lot of garbage and micro plastics...today was a good one, we looked and hunted for treasures, learned about tides and removed things that have no place on a beach! everything helps and everyone can do their part...@surfrider
