I apologize for the shaky camera, i was also holding my squirrelly toddler.
i’ve been waiting for so long to see this alligator snapping turtle move. my first visit i actually thought he was a decoration. i don’t know if you can tell but this fella is massive! next to his tank i read that these turtles gain a pound every year so he may have been born in the 1880s. 🙀 what i love about snappers are their tails. they look like dinosaurs. 🙀 #alligatorsnappingturtle#alligatorsnapper#turtle#reptileworld#aquarium#oklahomaaquarium
Good pictures of #larrytheshrimp. 🦞 and the big news are that larry is not a shrimp how we though first... 💭
he's a #crayfish! 😱

i'm blaming an anemone. last thursday after feeding i saw the file fish nipping at one of the anemones. then... as i went to bed i saw him nipping at another anemone. tank was dark friday morning when i went to work. but, when i got home there were two anemones in the same bed, the water was cloudy and all the fish but two were dead. the d**n file fish and pajama cardinal were still going. cardinal was having a tough time breathing. i quickly got all the deadness out, including the couple rocks that had all the anemones on. drained the tank and filled her back up with saturday mornings normal water change water. also swapped out filter socks and tossed in a big bag of carbon. started making more water and saturday morning changed another 30 gallons. more water made and changed 30 gallons late saturday night. sunday, the pj cardinal and file fish were fine. by monday all the mushrooms looked better than ever and the pipe o***n coral was back out. the surviving anemones are in another tank doing well also file fish was great with the aipstasia, kept it under control. but also ate the frogspawn and zoa garden.... so yeah, he won't be welcome in the new 210 build. starting fresh with that. new sand and dry rock.
