So i have this wonderful problem with my knee caps not tracking properly due to an inactive vmo and a tight vl so other than foam rolling my vl i gotta do activation exercises for my vmo ๐Ÿ’ my favourite is this - putting a rolled towel or foam roller under your knee and letting your leg just rest there, finding your vmo (usually an inch above your knee cap and an inch to the inside) and flexing your vmo which you can feel by it tightening where your fingers are and do that 10-12 times on each leg morning and night ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ someone forgot to do it for a couple of weeks (guilty) and now i’m paying the price ๐Ÿ˜… .

the way we’ve made my deadlifts improve so much is by working them from every angle. bow bar, deficit, double pause, block pull, rack pulls, banded, chained, all of the variations. having a coach who knows their way around programming and variations may be the key element you’re missing in you’re training.
