Seriously having the best monday morning after a relaxing, fun, cathartic weekend. sounds like a mix of emotions but it really was. saturday morning i called my mom because i was in tears over grad school (for the 7th time this week, yep every day). and she said these words to me: you don’t have to do this. it hit me. i don’t have to do this? what am i doing this for? i have a choice? i don’t have to try and plan my whole life? i can live and just be 25 and be happy at work and with my life without forcing grad school on myself right now? that moment i felt like i was breathing for the first time in weeks. big inhales and exhales. i felt so much lighter, like my old self when the stress wasn’t physically manifesting itself on my body, hurting my relationship, making me miserable. “you don’t have to do this.” and that’s what it took to make me quit grad school (for now, i’ll see how i’m feeling in the fall). saturday i was the lightest i’ve been in a year. it was the first time ever i said “it’s okay” to myself, “you’re still doing the best you can, love you for that.” that night i spent time with some insta turned real life friends (@runningonavocados@claires__creations@heaventoplate@grazefullyliving ) who are all angels and amazingly beautiful people inside and out. sunday i read a whole book (the crossroads of should and must by elle luna.. please go read. recommended to me by my friend @spoonfuldelight 💗), napped, walked, drank matcha, spent quality time with my love and my pup, ate cookies, and fell asleep early. started today out at soul cycle with my favorite teacher and i’m ready for this new phase of me who is always growing and learning. thanks for reading if you made it this far 💕 love you all.
