Your body is holy to me | about horsetraining 🌿
i found this picture from some years ago. i again and again am amazed by how my two boys are presenting themselves 👑 there is no need of a human with his reins and spurs and arrogance - because they don't need one to find balance and beauty within their own body.
i truly believe that we can influence our horses physical (and mental) condition in a very positive way. it is one of the most delighting things to see a horse becoming more and more beautiful and self-confident during training. 🔥
but i think we often forget about one thing: it is not our task to manipulate the horses body so that they learn to move in this or that way. i further believe this isn't just not necessary but i think it can be very dangerous - for the horses health and ourself. how on earth could we believe that it makes sense in any way to push and pull a 500 (or even more) kg - animal? do we really believe to find balance with using as much leather straps as possible? 🤔
i don't (any more) believe in that. instead i believe in the ability and potential of every horse. 💎 some horses may have forgotten about their beauty and balance. helping them to again remember should be one of the great goals in horsetraining. i am convinced that horses can learn a lot from us humans (and even more the other war around 🤓). but we should never forget that all we are searching for must be found by the horse himself first. and since it is the horses body (and soul!) i treat every horse with a lot of respect and care. horsetraining shouldn't be about fighting against an animal. it should be about walking on a path of awareness, side by side, exploring the wonders and joy of movement together. 🙏🏻💙
what do you think about this very important issue? how do you treat your horses body? and do you believe in his potential? ✨
When you wrap rainbow
over your body,
do respect it,
befall gentle and quite,
don’t turn into intoxicated,
go with kindness and endure,
then only blessing and
breeze of happiness come up to you!

Cerebral palsy challenge #18 💚💚
cerebral palsy affects everyone in a different way. some people might have mild cerebral palsy in one hand, which other people may not even notice.
some people have severe cerebral palsy and need the support of oxygen and feeding tubes. 💚💚
everyone else with cerebral palsy suffers in different ways, within this wide range of symptoms. 💚💚 some people's cerebral palsy affects one side of their body; an arm and a leg this is called hemiplegia or hemiplegic cerebral palsy.
cp challenge: imagine having hemiplegic cerebral palsy. strap one arm to your torso. walk without bending one knee. try to do everyday activities, using just one side of your body.
dexter has severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy. his cerebral palsy impacts on all arms and legs. 💚💚
he has low tone (or muscle strength) in his torso - but he is working on this.
he has dystonia, which means his muscles sometimes pull his hands, legs and head to the side. these are uncontrolled movements. 💚💚 dexter's hip has needed two surgeries (with another needed soon) because his tight muscles are 'pulling his femur' out of the hip socket. 💚💚 dexter often suffers from tightening of his muscles, which can cause cramping. 💚💚
people with cerebral palsy are said to use five times the energy other people use, each day.
never under-estimate their strength or determination.
