yep, i took my love for matcha to a whole new level with these matcha muffins, inspired by @rach.eatss ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’š
guys, they are so good! a sweet friend of mine, @michelleseywald ate three in a day (sorry meesh ๐Ÿ˜˜) she also loves matcha more than me, so that might explain it. *
here’s the recipe:
*2 flax seed eggs
*1/3 cup organic maple syrup
*1/4 cup coconut oil ๐Ÿฅฅ *2 tbsp matcha of your choosing. i like @thematchareserve
* 1 scoop @furtherfood collagen (leave out if want fully vegan)
*2 tbsp coconut sugar
*1/3 cup sunflower butter
*1/4 cup coconut milk ๐ŸŒด *1 cup almond flour
*1/4 cup coconut flour
*1.5 tsp baking powder *dash organic cinnamon
*handful of carob chips
*preheat over to 350. mix wet ingredients and then add in dry. stir and place in lines muffin tins. bake for about 20 minutes! enjoy!

i typically stick to warmer breakfasts as it’s easier on my stomach in the morning. but sometimes when i feel like i have a pitta imbalance i’ll go for a cooler breakfast. pitta imbalances often times involve being hot, short tempered, or irritated. so when i’m feeling ๐Ÿ”ฅ i’ll have something to cool me down. i always have my matcha prior to any breakfast so my agni, or digestive fire, is also warmed up and having a cold breakfast doesn’t affect it too much. you may also notice the peanut butter oozing out of the date ๐Ÿคค ...pittas should limit their nut butters and have more seed butters. which i have been doing, but sometimes a girls just gotta have a dollop of peanut butter to get her through her morning, ya know? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍โ™€๏ธ •••

she walked in and said, “mink, it’s vata season soon, and you have a vata constitution. time to start looking at wet food for you...”.
yay! wet food!!
you know that ayurveda applies to your pets, too. human talked to me about it. this is how vata dogs are characterized:
pets of vata constitution are generally physically slender and small- framed. their chests are flat with their veins and muscle tendons visible. the skin is cool, rough, dry and cracked. vata pets generally are either taller or shorter than average, with thin frames that reveal prominent joints and bone-ends because of small muscle development. the eyes may be sunken, small, dry, and active. the nails are rough and brittle. the shape of the nose is bent and in some cases turned-up.

physiologically, the appetite and digestion are variable. the production of u***e is scanty and the feces are dry, hard, and small in quantity. their sleep may be disturbed and they will sleep less than the other types. their paws are often cold.

psychologically, they are characterized by short memories but quick mental understanding. they will understand something immediately, but will soon forget it. they sometimes lack determination, tend toward mental instability, and are sensitive to tolerance, confidence, or boldness. vata pets are nervous, fearful at times, and afflicted by much anxiety.

in a nutshell- that’s me. smart, nervous, impulsive, dry, and a tad unstable. ๐Ÿ’จ

para o ayurveda existe uma capacidade nata em todos os organismos de digerir e transformar todos os alimentos em nutriente, e absorve-lo corretamente, como deve ser, para uma perfeita nutrição.
quando o organismo não consegue digerir bem significa que o fogo digestivo, chamado também de agni, que são  as enzimas digestivas/sucos gástricos, etc, está fraco e ocorre então a produção de toxinas pela  digestão incompleta dos alimentos, e essas toxinas são denominadas ama.
o excesso de ama no organismo é um dos fatores que leva ao desequilíbrio de todos os tipos, causando doenças, envelhecimento precoce, falta de energia, etc.
para se ter saúde é extremamente importante cuidar do nosso fogo digestivo. para isso, deixo abaixo algumas dicas para manter seu agni em pleno vigor:
- tome alguns goles de água morna em jejum todas as manhãs, 30 minutos antes de se alimentar. ou então tome água  com metade de um limão espremido pela manhã em jejum, esse hábito limpa o organismo das toxinas(ama) e fortalece o seu fogo digestivo (agni).
-raspe a língua pela manhã (aquela camada geralmente branca é composta de ama, que ingeridas irão causar mais ama, ou toxinas). pode usar um raspador de língua ou uma colher de metal. .
- coma apenas quando estiver com fome, mas antes observe se sua fome é real ou fruto ansiedade ou motivos emocionais. .
-se alimente com alimentos nutritivos, que tenham vindo da natureza, comida de verdade. .
-evite enlatados, comida de saquinhos, pacotinhos, congeladas, com muito conservantes e corante, ou seja, sem nenhuma vitalidade devido ao alto processamento industrial. esse tipo de comida gera muito ama, intoxica o organismo e você acha que está ganhando peso, mas pode ser uma reação do seu organismo, na verdade você pode está inchada e intoxicada. .
-utilize temperos ao cozinhar: gengibre, pimenta, cardamomo, cominho, cúrcuma, coentro, etc. .
- alimente-se apenas após sentir que a refeição anterior foi totalmente digerida.
-alimente-se seguindo a dieta do seu dosha predominante. .
-busque orientação personalizada para otimizar ainda mais sua saúde.
