Meidän talon paras budjettiratkaisu: bathlife välla -sadesuihkut.
meillä on tapwellin hanat keittiössä, kodinhoitohuoneessa, vessassa ja kylppärissä. ne ovat olleet todella hyviä, mutta vähintään yhtä paljon tykkään näistä suihkuista. valittiin nämä pääasiassa ulkonäön perusteella, sillä halusimme mattamustat suihkut. suosittelen lämpimästi! #dekotalo#mustatalo#mustapuutalo #kylpyhuone#conceptbianco#bathlife#netrauta#rakentajat2019

Living the life- happy to have made a small contribution to the bath life luxe issue. bath life asked me about luxury, chocolate and the city of bath. i could not resist giving a few comments...
at the height of the georgian age (1700s) when bath gained its modern fame, drinking chocolate was not only a precious commodity exotic and expensive, it was considered the drink of luxury and leisure. the most fashionable people often consumed a small cup during the mornings or in the afternoons at the private pleasure gardens in town.
the love and appreciation of #drinkingchocolate is back...especially a cup made with #rarecacao #singleoriginchocolate. a warm cup to inhale aromas and sip rich flavours.

Even when it’s cold and grey, with autumn firmly set and winter on its way, bath is really pretty.
when most people think of bath crescents, it’s the royal crescent and the circus that comes to mind. for me though, the much quieter lansdown crescent, somerset place and cavendish crescent are far more beautiful.
from somerset place you have a great view of the back of cavendish crescent, a far less tidy affair than the front! extensions for bedrooms and bathrooms clinging on precipitously. most of bath’s tidy, orderly and stately georgian architecture is a bit of a mullet - ‘business’ at the front & ‘party’ at the back. #bath#cityofbath#visitbath#bathuk#bathlife#igersbath#lansdowncrescent#somersetplace#cavendishcrescent

The worst shot of b***e known to man - an (alleged) vial of the embalming brandy used to preserve lord nelson’s body after his death at the battle of trafalgar.
donated to the bath royal literary and scientific institution in 1862 as part of a legacy left by one thomas pickering clarke, a retired naval captain and founding member of the brsi, the bottles faded label bears an inscription reading: 'part of the liquor in which the body of lord nelson was preserved - after the battle of trafalgar.'
unusually for naval officers, who overwhelmingly tended to be committed to the deep should they perish in the line of duty, it was decided that nelson’s body be brought back to england for internment in a manner befitting the national hero who had routed napoleon, removing the risk of invasion and affording his country supremacy on the high seas. in an era predating refrigeration by some time, his body was thus placed in a large water barrel known as a ‘leaguer’, filled with brandy to act as a preservative for the corpses 44-day voyage home.
while tests to verify the provenance of the vials content are ongoing, and while no record of such ‘samples’ being taken as the body was transferred to its coffin officially exist, it is by no means beyond the realms of possibility that the sailors involved in repatriating the corpse took such a souvenir, given the godlike reverence nelson would have engendered among them at that point, and the brsi are rightfully confident that this most unusual of artefacts is, indeed, that which it purports to be.
Joe from our #bath team cannot wait to whip out his suit and glam up for this evenings wonderful #bathbusinessawards
