I’ve been out of balance the last 3-4 weeks (no particular reason), i’m slowly getting back into a positive and forward thinking mental state and it feels good.
.
i met with my mentor recently because he told me my energy was off and we needed to talk asap. here are some things that i took away from our meeting:
.
1. embrace the suck. your job, your friends, your motivation, your relationships are going to totally s**k sometimes. there is no perfect straight line of happiness and consistency in life. take the suck, embrace the s**k and learn from the s**k because you will be a better person for it.
.
2. make yourself one promise a week and stick to it. examples: promise that you will read a chapter a night in your favorite book. promise yourself that you will go to the gym for 45 mins, for 4 days this week. promise yourself that you will put your phone away by 10 pm so you can go to sleep better. make one simple promise that is going to benefit you mentally.
.
3. write down a few 2-3 year goals & a couple 6 month goals. stop getting overwhelmed by the 5-10 year goals. make short term goals and physically write them down. you are 40% more likely to accomplish the goals you have written down and actualized, over the goals you have never written down.
.
for anyone who is out of balance, i feel you, i empathize with you but i am here for you. let’s get out of this funk and make some positive mental moves ♥๏ธ

#medalmonday to honor changing plans .
.
6 months ago i could swear than finishing the abbot world marathon majors challenge was a priority for me.
.
i am missing just berlin & london marathon
.
but everything change in the last months .
.
i dig deep in to my soul and realize that those goals , even qualifying for boston again was just a mere check mark on my bucket list - a to do that i know i can accomplish fairly easily..
.
those goals didn’t scare me or make me feel overly excited to accomplish them . .happy yes, totally, those races are epic for sure . i still want my 6 medal finisher. .
but i need more !
.
so i decide to go bigger , bolder and choose a goal that scares me and really excited me , one that i doubt i can do it - yet it’s totally worth try it . .
.
so changing plans past the middle of the year sound amazing, scary and i am totally taken and inspired to see how much i can push myself out of my comfort zone .

berlin & london and my 6 stars finisher will have to wait a little more ! .
