well, i can’t lie. i tried to enjoy, but i think this beer cinches it... i’m not a “hazy ipa” fan. kudos for whoever created this new style (forgot who it was), but i’m not down with this unfiltered murky style.
the aroma was very inviting. heavy tropical fruit nose. the cloudy appearance just throws me off even before tasting it. (i try to never judge a book by it’s cover, but with foods/drinks... it’s difficult)
as for the taste... the acidic b**g of hazys just turns me off. it tastes like acid reflux was bottled and sold. sure... i taste fruit and some hop bitterness, but the mouthfeel, sharp acidic taste, and burning aftertaste just aren’t for me.
Sometimes nothing will do except an e****c city. seamlessly blending beer, mead, and wine through the use of local honey and california muscat grape must, this mainstay that’s both sweet yet dry is just as tasty as it is gorgeous. #saturdaynight#eroticcity
