Wow! i am so dang happy for these two getting engaged! 💍 taking that leap of faith together & promising a life together!
maybe some of you might not know but i recently took that leap of faith in my career and am now a full-time photographer! maybe it seems crazy, maybe it seems irrational or super scary?! to me, it really wasn’t.. it seemed like the best thing to do!
i love the couples i photograph, i love what i do & i wouldn’t trade it for anything! when the time seemed right i decided to stop going to college and focus on pursuing my career full force!! i thought to myself, “if i don’t take my opportunity, it might just pass me by”. so here i am saying chase your dreams! take that risk and never look back!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
When these globetrotting aussies contacted us to take them on an adventure shoot, we knew that this valley would be the perfect fit. paige strapped elsie in her backpacking carrier and we ventured down into the valley.⠀
seeing the way these two interacted, how paige encouraged elsie to explore + how much love this momma had for her little girl are the precious moments that we are looking forward to in the future. ⠀
whether we’re lucky enough to travel with our future children, we just want them to experience the life we have come to love so much —⠀
✨ teaching them how to navigate with maps⠀
✨ creating stillness in their lives by taking a step back from technology + getting out in nature ⠀
✨following cairns on hiking trails⠀
✨building fires while camping⠀
✨falling in the slippery mud and getting back up with a big smile⠀
✨dancing in the rain during an afternoon downpour⠀
✨ seeking the unknown without being fearful⠀
what are things you hope to teach others someday about the life you love?
god has an amazing plan and person for you out there! true story, i was a serial monogamist, always in those long term years long relationships that never seemed to work out. .
i wanted so badly to get married and start a family and tried to force my own timeline on what i wanted to see happen. by god's grace, i was able to wait and didn't settle (even though i felt that pressure and stress to start a family already!) then i met andrew. just a couple months after meeting and dating we knew we wanted to get married, and just 6 months later we got engaged!! .
yes it was quick, yes we got a lot of people telling us it was quick, but it we both knew we were the ones for each other. we both prayed over it and nothing felt so right. here we are, going on four years later, and i am still so confident in our marriage and partnership.
