On thursday we cycled over 100 miles. we knew at the end of the ride we'd have a warm shower courtesy of huguette.
her son cycled around the world three years ago and she was delighted to be able to host us.
this our first time using warm showers on our around the world adventure and huguette could not have been kinder to us. she treated us like her own family, picked us up from the centre of town and had dinner waiting for us, including vegetables from her garden.
after breakfast she sent us off with a baguette and her homemade rhubarb jam.
such a positive warm showers experience from such a lovely person. we'll be forever grateful.

A rare find. not the bike, but the road. in norway, if we leave tarmac out, you either ride on smoothed gravel roads built to support the big timber trucks, or you ride on rocky trails. that’s why i was thrilled to find this little two track road during last weekends orchid hunt in our backwoods.
Before entering albania we we’re told a lot of gehost stories about the country. people supposed to be no good, took drugs and stole stuff. when hearing this we couldn’t believe it fully, but something kept us wary. upon today we only saw smiling and waving people like this man! actually in albania almost everyone we see is waving, smiling and greets us when we’re cycling. myth busted! #fietsenvoorkinderfietsen#biketour#bikelife#worldbybike#biketouring#albania#mythbusters
