🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸 📌 petite anecdote linguistique, saviez-vous que le point d'exclamation était encore appelé point d'admiration au xviiie siècle ! je trouve cela bien élégant. 😁👌 🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸
I brought a bigmac to work today and for some reason that made me all giddy with excitement!☺️ it’s been quite relaxing to draw on my tablet while overseeing the library, as usual, and occasionally helping teens with books.
i’m quite sad that this is my last week at the school but i guess all good things come to an end? on the bright side i’ll have more time to relax and draw (and drink tea)👀
what’s your dream job? i’d like to do something creative and / or help people (wow how specific)
Adventures with folded paper and non-adhesive bindings
the second course i’ll teach at the bookbindery of barbara schmelzer in sydney will takes place the weekend after my magnet closure course on
february 23 - 25, 2019, (9.00 am to 5.00 pm)
in this course you will delve into the creative possibilities of non-adhesive bindings and experience the transformation of a sheet of paper into two and three-dimensional paper sculptures. first there will be an introduction to different folding techniques as you work with various types of paper and materials. you will create book and packaging samples to see how the folding structures can be used in bookbinding. i will introduce you to my new designs, like the ‘tessellated spine binding’ and to techniques developed by hedi kyle.
