I really appreciate the area i live in. i have always loved the shore, it is my home and it will always have my heart. i’ve always lived around the bays and this year i moved closer to the bridge (to hillcrest) which is a part of the shore i wasn’t really familiar with. i wanted to find a little cafe near me that does amazing coffee but i could also answer my emails, do my work or read a book if i wanted. today, i found it. i have had a lot of work on lately and @bittersweetcafebirkenhead thank you for your amazing coffee, friendly customer service and biscotti! you seriously don’t know how much something that small can perk someone’s day up when they have a lot on. i will definitely be back and i highly recommend to anyone in the area. definitely coming back and dragging my boyfriend, best friends and flatties 😂🌿☕️⭐️

The biscotti cookie originated as a twice baked, crispy, toast-like cookie made with nuts (traditionally almonds) and is said to come from a city in the tuscany region named prato.
since then, the biscotti cookie has taken on plenty of modern twists in the united states, making it one of those recipes that nearly any italian-american family has. at @jimalescis, we take our biscotti crafting quite seriously. with traditional toast biscotti, anise biscotti, lemon biscotti, vanilla biscotti (more formally know as “sprinkle cookies”), and even chocolate chip biscotti (pictured above). 😋
needless to say, whichever route you choose, any jim alesci’s biscotti is the perfect coffee-dunking cookie for a nice hot cup of @lavazzausa coffee — also found hot & fresh in our trusty bakery.
