Why do i offer so many different bitters?
1. one size does not fit all. if you were to go to an herbalist for a consultation, they would go over your health and concerns and make a blend specifically for your body and needs.
to make one blend and assume it will work for everyone is not enough. especially when it comes to gut health because it is so complex. that is why i make each bitters blend to address the core digestive health as well as other issues.
for instance, if your body runs cold you would want a warming blend such as firewalkers. if your body runs hot you might try a cooling blend such as huntress . if you also suffer from anxiety or sleeplessness you would try stargazer or sleeping beauty. if you lack focus or clarity, try baba yaga. and titania is great for a simple yet delicious immune boost.
this more custom approach offers you the chance to find a blend specific to your needs.
2. it keeps things interesting. if we want to find a wellness routine that we truly enjoy and will stick to, we need variety. anyone who consistently exercises will tell you the same thing. having many blends to choose from can keep us on track to heal and then thrive.
so, if you are planning on checking out my shop update 🌻tomorrow 9/9🌻 at 6 pm est (i hope you do!), don't forget to take 10% off your entire order for helping me reach 10k followers (now 11k thank you!!!) with code 10for10. there will be two other bitters available other than the ones pictured here as well.

Today's post for @drinks_with_jude and @gin_philosopher's #reshakeweek is another twofer: i am paying tribute to consummate cocktailer and gentleman @thecocktail.blog (morten), who in turn was inspired by spirit nerd extraordinnaire @barfaith (faith).
morten's posts are easy to spot: always multiple photos, each featuring an ingredient in a cocktail that is spirit-forward, balanced, and so gorgeous you can't stop staring. i often tease him that they look like jewelry, but honestly -- how he always achieves absolute perfection in his photos is a question that brings much no small amount of admiration (and perhaps a wee bit of consternation). too, his captions are thoughtful, informative, and entertaining -- he manages to have a wicked sense of humor while always remaining a true class act. he is incredibly generous and encouraging to so many of us, and it's hard to imagine this community without him.
and faith -- well, we all know where to go with our b***e questions (and if you didn't, you do now). when i need information about a spirit (especially r*m or rhum), faith is usually my first stop. she has such an extraordinary arsenal of knowledge already, and she is completely driven by curiosity and the compulsion not only to learn more about spirits and their history and production methods, but to share what she's learned. she is a wonder.
if it's to be a tribute to faith, you know it's going to have r*m (or rhum)! here is my version of morten's nod to faith, and what a heady treat it was!
1 oz probitas white blended r*m (@probitasrum )
1 oz foursquare 2005 single blended r*m (@foursquare_rum_distillery )
1 barspoon banane du bresil (@giffard_liqueurs_syrups )
1 barspoon falernum
1 dash chocolate bitters
1 dash elemakule bitters
1 dash blackstrap bitters
dehydrated orange peel
