Currently my favorite stretch. 🤤 it feels amazing and its so great for tightness in the hips, sides, and upper back.
-when setting up the lunge feel free to put your hands on top of something (yoga blocks are helpful) to help you step your foot forward and set up the position of the legs. make sure that your starting position/ lunge has your knee right over your ankle and not shooting passed your ankle. your entire front foot should be planted on the floor, no heels lifting. 😊
-place some kind of cushion (blanket, towel, thin pillow) under the back knee if it feels painful to have it directly on the floor.
-stay in the pose for 5-8 deep breaths and then slowly lift your arms back up to center and then bring your hands to the floor to set up for the second side. -listen to your body and make sure the sensations you feel are good stretching sensations. no pinching or shooting pains. 👍🏼
let me know if you have any questions or requests! 🤗 .
Look close up on top and you’ll see the sliver moon. a moon for seeding new intentions and recognizing what’s in the field wanting your attention this last cycle of the moon this year. when you harmonize your life work and focus with the natural cycles your life, work and body and well everything comes into harmony naturally. that’s not woo woo. it’s wisdom. xox from the puget sound on my #mamanature afternoon downshifting walk with sahaji my dog. #femininewisdom#femininepower#harmonizeyourself#selflove#pugetsound#moonwisdom#moonifesting#breathe
No two breaths are the same; the same breath that releases tension and pain and exhaustion isn’t the same breath that then takes in strength, patience, and resilience. use your breath to pull in what you need from the universe; use it to leave what you need to leave behind; use it to dig deep, to get out of bed, to say no, to do your best, and to f**k s**t uuuup 👏 it’s there to keep you alive... let it.👻
The most dangerous psychological mistake is the projection of the shadow on to others: this is the root of almost all conflicts. ~ carl jung
