i know that nothing will ever replace puipui.
i live happily with his young bro picopico, but i never forget puipui.

4) transfer into a bowl. add finely chopped onion, chopped coriander, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, dry mango powder(aam chur powder) and mix well.
5)add salt as per taste and mix well.
6) make into small round shaped kababs or patties.

It was a night about sophisticated food over a casually relaxed setting while surrounded by a batch of food afficianados and revered experts in the gastronomic landscape of culinary delight. so glad to have spent time with the most amazing @thefinelychopped
and @chefananyabanerjee over some great constructive food conversations.
So @rosaroad surprised @kaizer893 with a rolex sky-dweller for his birthday. she had him for a good 5 seconds because he thought it was real!! 😂 they say, if you can't wear it, eat it! thanks guys, hope it was delicious!

Almond blueberry squares!!
here are three words for these blondies:
they are magical!!
and you have to give these little gems a try🖤
they are super healthy, and seriously amazing and of course, chewy and delicious. and to top it all of they are great for dessert or breakfast.
i used almond flour which makes the recipe gluten-free, grain-free, and even flourless since almond flour is 100% finely ground almonds.
recipe below 👇🏼
2 cups almond flour
1 cup gluten-free oats
1/3 cup almond butter, creamy
2 tbs coconut sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2:3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup blueberries, preferably wild
1/3 cup mini vegan chocolate chips
mix all ingredients in a bowl; add the batter to a small 8x8 baking pan and bake at 350° f for 25 min.
almonds are a great source of nutrients, and they have great health benefits:
they are rich in unsaturated fats, fiber and phytonutrients.
and they are a great source of protein.
1️⃣ provides healthy fats
2️⃣ prevents heart disease
3️⃣ improves hair health
4️⃣ improves brain function
5️⃣ helps with weight loss

You’ve had a ruff day?
dogs have a way of finding people who need them and filling an emptiness they didn’t know they had.
there's a new cafe opening in bahadurabad, cafe alzato, and they invited me over for a tasting session. thought i should review it in detail and let y'all know what i liked and what needs a little improvement. also, they open tomorrow with a flat 20% off on the entire menu! 🎉
so, the cafe has an outdoor seating and a staircase inside that takes you to the rooftop (where i was seated) which is a bit too dark atleast for my liking. the seating is pretty comfortable but the tables are too small. i know that's too much of detail but i feel their service and food is pretty good but ambiance is what they need to work on for a much better experience.
coming to the food, we were served with their stuffed chicken, chipotle burger and alfredo pasta along with mint lemonade.
stuffed chicken was a little different than usual but pretty good with unique flavours. it had a little tangy twist to it which made it taste great, was stuffed with cheddar and mushrooms and served with creamy mustard sauce. it was quite tender and i personally loved the dish! 😍
chipotle burger (swipe right) was the highlight of the day! it was huge, had a juicy fried chicken patty stuffed with some cheese and a generous amount of chipotle sauce. this was more than enough for one person. i would never expect a cafe to serve a good burger but this took my heart!
alfredo pasta is what i did not really like. it had less sauce and lacked flavour too so this can be improved.
mint lemonade was absolutely perfect. did not make me feel like i'm having a sugary juice. 🤭
Americano #mumbai s review in my #bombaytimes column today excerpts... chef alex sanchez delivers something that’s very difficult to pull off: food that's sophisticated without being too clever, in a room that's attractive without being flamboyant. darren crawford’s bar serves up many an exciting drink. there’s plenty for vegetarians, alex’s californian cuisine exalts the local and seasonal, it’s approachable and stays away from elaborate gimmicks, saucing and gut-busting richness.
some of the cooking can be inconsistent, and the pricing on the higher side, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that alex sanchez and mallyeka watsa, have gifted south mumbai a must-visit neighbourhood restaurant with a claim to distinction beyond its neighbourhood. a destination restaurant.
ps is there hope behind the hype and hoopla? alex sanchez, celebrated chef, leaves the hugely popular “table” and mid march sets up “americano” on his own. excitement, speculation and expectations followed. south mumbai foodies were atwitter (in the old fashioned way too). to review accurately and check for consistency i dined here three times over the past four months. each time with a bunch of foodies to get their
feedback globetrotting opthalmologist superachiever family of padmashree keiki mehta, zenobia, cyres and vinifer. visiting from london are rustom mehta (fashion photographer) zubin shroff (real estate finance). the discerning foodies share their palate opinion. cyres revisited the restaurant several times #tastingtable#forkyeah#inspiration#instafit#buzzfeastfood#buzzfeedfood#buzzfeed#travelislove#foodstagram#travelgram#foodandwine#eattheworld#cheatmeal

Neighbourhood leeds new menu review 📍greek street, leeds
first of all, if you didn’t know by now @nbhdrestaurants is currently doing 50% their menu. i went down yesterday to try and some of the dishes on their new menu set.
* 5/5 the teriyaki glazed salmon with wasabi arugula, soy, honey sriracha and lime in
* 5/5 southern fried chicken dinner includes (southern fried chicken, biscuit, honey butter, spicy sausage gravy, fries
sushi set which had:
* 4/5 yellowfin tuna
* 3.5/5 charred asparagus
* 3/5 shrimp tempura
* 4/5 beef tataki
the cocktails 5/5
i pleasantly enjoyed the food and overall experience. perfect for a date.in terms of the service we received - second to none. the neighbourhood staff smashed it out of the park they were really friendly, knowledgeable about the dishes and even offered some top-notch drink recommendations. the food also came out swiftly which was also a plus.
in terms of the dishes, i saw the teriyaki glazed salmon before it was released and was very excited to try it - it met all expectations and then some. succulent, soft, juicy tasty it was all that and more. secondly the southern fried chick dinner. whichever chef came up with this and managed to push it into the menu deserves a raise if you ask me. please please please give it a try and if not the whole dish at least ask for the sausage gravy (this gravy was made by god himself) it’s so good you want to drink it. best believe we asked for extra. the sushi set was also good, the points are not as high because of the structural integrity of each roll and the presentation of the sashimi. my only pet peeve was that the sushi roll would crumble sometime when i picked it up (not gucci) however what it lacked in structure it made up in taste. especially the yellowfin tuna and the beef tataki.
prices: £13 and £16 for large plates and £30 for sushi set. but this will with 50% off £7.5 and £8 large plates and £15 sushi platter.
if you’re interested in checking it out for yourself contact @larahedley for 50% off.
📍hyde park, leeds
big up @ls6cafe for letting me come down and try out their new evening menu. for many of you leeds locals and/or students you probably know them for their brunches - at least i do. however, they’ve now ventured into dinner with their new refurb. they also do live gig and events too, they had a jazz band when i went down (it was a f*****g vibe b). anyway to the let chat about the scran:
* grilled cauliflower steak [vg] 3.5/5. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* chilli shrimp, pineapple and jalapeño taco 5/5
* duck & mango taco 5/5
* grilled zucchini, corn & lime taco [vg] 2/5 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*the hunter: a chicken burger with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato & pickles 3/5
* the fisherman’s hook: battered fish, lettuce, pickles & tartare sauce 4/5
* the classic: beef, lettuce tomato, pickles & red onion 3/5
* the ls6: beef, fried egg, hash brown, lettuce, baconnaise &spring onions 4.5/5. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* churros 5/5
first and foremost i’m just going to put it out there. the tacos absolutely banged! like on another level. i don’t normally jump on the idea of having pineapple in my dishes (fuck ham and pineapple) but somehow the chefs at ls6 made then the standout element in the tacos. the shrimp and the duck tacos were phenomenal. i’m not a huge courgette guy so that why my score was low but to the veggies and vegans out there give it a go and please let me know what you think of it. the ls6 burger was also power and i was a huge fan of the presentation - writing ls6 on the burger bun my kind of extra, i love it. also, they use a pretzel bun and for those of you that don’t know about it … get to know b. it was my first time trying churros so my score may be a little biased however my beautiful assistant also rated them highly and she is a churros connoisseur. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
they have a great drinks offering - lovely cocktails and draft beers too, coupled with the live music it’s a f*****g vibe. i would definitely recommend checking it out. perfect for a date or just for a nice chiller with friends. if you fancy checking out their events they have it available on their site https://ls6cafe.com/

📍leeds city centre
i was invited down to the @blackhouseleeds winter menu launch to check out some of the new dishes they whipped up for you all. the menu included:
· blackened fish tacos: 3.5/5
· beef brisket pasty: 4/5
· pepper lemon calamari: 5/5
· cauliflower cheese souflee [v]
· roasted onion humus [vv]: 4/5
· warm chicken & chorizo salad (with poached egg, baby potatoes and caesar dressing)
· b****r and mash (with pearl onion gravy and parsnip crisps) 5/5
· chargrilled swordfish (lemon caper butter, pico de gallo and skilly chips) 4/5
· spiced aubergine steak [vv](with tender stem broccoli, parsnip crisps and katsu curry sauce)
· classic fish and chips (with mushy peas, tartare sauce and wookey hole cheddar)
· blackhouse cottage pie (14hr slow cooked brisket, root mash and wookey hole cheddar)
· blackhouse chips
· steamed broccoli
· creamed cabbage & bacon
· onion rings
the entire experience was amazing, the service was fantastic. i event tried throwing off the waiters by asking about the wine pairings, but they were very knowledgeable which is always reassuring. the stand out dishes for me were the chargrilled swordfish that was a very popular dish between us tasters- i mean who doesn’t want to try swordfish. the swordfish was cooked to perfection, tasted very similar to a tuna steak so don’t be scared to try it out. i think it could have done with more lemon caper butter that would have really completed the dish. i was still very pleased.
the bangers and mash were an absolute f*****g wild card. the sexiest bangers and mash i had ever seen. i’ve never had as much food envy in my life than when they brought out that dish. the presentation was spectacular almost like art mate! the creamed cabbage and bacon were another solid dish for me too.
if you’re feeling a nice warming winter dish for a date or even just with family or friends and you want to keep it kinda classy definitely go and check it out. and for the love of god order the f*****g bangers and mash !

i finally had the chance to go and check out @littledumplinboy . the baby brother of @littlebaoboy
char sui bai: bbq roast pork steamed bun - 3/5
har gaw:shrimp dumplings in crystal wrapper - 4/5
veggie gyoza: carrot, cabbage and garlic - 3.5/5
pork siu mai - 4.5/5
review: honestly for a restaurant that started by only doing baos (and very good ones at that - arguable the best of leeds) i was pleasantly surprised by their dumpling offering. they currently have 6 types on their menu but i am excited to see what they have to offer in the future. the portions are more than fair and so are the prices. the pork sui mai currently isnt on the menu but boy did that bang. the shrimp dumplings were also another good choice. definitely try the soy sauce and chilli dip when you have them.
price: £4.50 each or £20 for the whole menu (feeds two people) you also get refillable oolong tea with the £20 offering.
