At our school, we run a positive behaviour system that sees students earning 'cash' for behaviour that goes beyond expectation. at the end of the term, students can then spend their 'money' at our redemption market. kids want to earn the money and they can also learn some financial skills along the way.
some of the students also earned a much coveted spot on our regular sleep over camp. students who submit a certain percentage of homework and projects qualify for the sleepover and oh, what fun we had with them!
sleepovers have always been popular with young people. there is something exciting about hanging out with your friends, staying up that bit later, midnight feasts and talking after lights out. we take it to another level with both physical and mind games, stem challenges and bonding exercises.

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and by breakfast i mean breaking my fast ⏰
intermittent fasting is a great tool to utilise on any diet as it allows your body to begin the break down of stored glycogen for energy that your body had no immediate use for when initially eaten 💥
traditionally, intermittent fasting is ruled by fasting for 16 hours and eating for the remainding 8 hours
however, research suggests that as little as 10-12 hours of fasting allows the body to begin depletion of f*t stores and start production of ketones for fuel ⛽️ effectively, if you fast consistently you will allow your body to enter a state of ketosis and deplete of any excess glycogen stores without the need to eat excessive amounts on a daily basis

a few weeks back, i was doing absolutely nothing healthy as i was in kenya 😝 & was wondering why i felt so shitty?! 😅 i mean i did what i could but i was out of my normal routine!
from being away, not only did i completely lose momentum with my workouts, but i lost motivation for just taking care of myself in general.. 👎🏼 you see where this is going, right?
i wanted so badly to feel even just a bit better. a bit more energized, in shape, confident, not so blah.. but i didn’t have the fundamentals down, so i struggled to make any choice that may benefit me.
have you been here?? i have learned this lesson many times, so i knew exactly what i needed to do & when it was time to pick myself up, i did exactly that. i told myself i’d do one thing that i enjoyed & would make me feel good, & if i did that, it’d be a very successful day.
i started my workouts again and not only that, i set myself a goal where i get up everyday at 6am and smash it out for 30 mins 💦

laziness breeds more laziness - activity breeds more activity.. maybe you’ve heard that one before 👍🏼 everyday i gave myself one ‘most important task of the day’ for my wellbeing & it naturally made into me feeling soooo much better & so much more myself again 🌸
i made up a little daily checklist with activities that make me feel good & also inspire healthy productivity. it’s not a crazy long impossible list, it’s realistic. even so, there’s only been one day where i’ve ticked every box, but i don’t care!! it’s the intention that counts, & i know how much each contributes to my day 🙌🏼 say it with me
