Magical mountains🇳🇵the hard part is getting down, not up. did you know that the most dangerous part of a summit attempt is the way back down? imagine yourself being about one hour close to the summit, exhausted, in the cold for already 11 hours. will you turn around? you would want to make this one last hour, get up the mountain, because its your last chance to try it! once up there, all the adrenalin and excitement that kept you awake will go down, your power and concentration are down and now even the weather changes. high mountains don't know any mercy.
in this capture you can see annapurna south (left, 7,219 m) and hiunchuli (right, 6,441 m). to the right of these beautiful mountains is a narrow section of the modi khola valley that provides the only access to the annapurna sanctuary. while hiunchuli is classified as a trekking peak, it is considered one of the more difficult trekking peaks to climb due to route finding difficulties and dangers from rock fall. seen from the south, annapurna south is one of the most impressive peaks of the annapurna range. it towers more than 5000 m above the valley of the modi khola and blocks the view to the 8091 m high annapurna i.

. @regrann from @jessewphoto - 🇺🇸 youth worlds update number two! finally heading home to los angeles from innsbruck which means i have plenty of ig time :) the girls and i had an amazing experience and learned so much out there. i can already see a change in their climbing and i'm kind of afraid for what will happen to my routesetting. major changes for sure. amelia finished 37th in bouldering and dinah 31st for sport at their first world event. pan-am champs coming soon in montreal... time to digest all this new knowledge and adjust accordingly! stoked! thanks to all who made the event possible and to a seemingly endless list of supporters at home and abroad. ⚡️🇺🇸
