So guys. iv not done a video for an absolute age, nor am i a major tech head at it but i kinda thought that whilst this one is still drying, i might as well video it. sometimes there is no time like the present!
as some of you may know, iv had no where to paint, so my loft at home has become my makeshift studio, but it hasn’t stopped me from painting. i doubt anything could in all honest.
this has been a complete work in progress where the world of craft meets abstract art to bring to you my swimming fish.
as you can hopefully see i have a some fish that have been glued to canvas board, which in turn has been glued to my very extremely colourful stretched canvas. all the fish are swimming in their own seas and they are surrounded by colourful coral.
in the near future i’m just take a still photo of this so it can be appreciated in a another form.

En 🇺🇸 it feels so good to go back to my favorite place 🍀
more than 2 years ago i started painting #orgánico, it was a real challenge, not only because i did not know what i wanted to do, but i had to learn how to use knives and the use of colors.
when i was in college i learned about color theory, but it's very different when you use #paintings and you can see the #colors that come up when you mix them.
orgánico is not for everyone, i learned that in the most difficult way 😔
but something that helps to unite the opinions on this series is the #color; each person feels something different and makes me feel proud to know that it was me who planted that thought or feeling in people when they see my paintings.
tell me, have you ever looked closely at any of my orgánico paintings?
what have they made you feel?
“a new day has dawned” was a painting that had a few different appearances before it evolved into this. i like that i can still see signs of those colors and brush strokes. the layering is really nice in this one. once i was finally happy with the look of the painting, it truly felt like a new day had dawned for it.
My first layers used to be the most expressive, but as my art develops and moves in a wild, and beautiful new direction i find that the first base layer is now the softest. i don't know where this blue and green gem is going, but the exploration is lush and full of potential!
You can hold the galaxy in your hands with my newest collection. plus dozens of works on canvas are on sale up to 45% off. there's still time to have them arrive before christmas! link in profile or www.kelleewynnestudios.com
When you find your reason, don’t lose it.
in yesterday’s post, i wrote how i was considering taking a break and stopping my daily art posts. but this is one of the reasons why i painted on sunday, 12/9/18, one of the reasons why i wanted to keep up my daily art posts: i want to grow as an artist. i like almost all of my paintings, but i don’t love a lot of my paintings. i want to improve my craft of making paintings. i want to continue to unearth what is inside of me.
the other main reason is this: i want to keep contributing to people’s lives by sending jenny-infused positivity out there into the world.
thank you, everyone, for all of your support of my art posts on instagram and facebook. if it wasn’t for your likes, comments, and encouragements this past year. my saturday, 12/8/18 post could have been my last art post for quite a while. but, luckily it isn’t.
thank you from the bottom of my heart. love, jenny
this painting took me 30 minutes.

" piazza navona rome italy " modern impressionist textural impasto palette knife oil painting 30x20 cm / 12x10 inches . swipe to left to see one of the photos i took there. 😊
original and art prints available ( link in bio ). inspired by my travel to rome, italy, this painting presents a beautiful view of piazza navona with fontana del moro ( moor fountain ) in the foreground. while my husband and i were there we stayed at a very nice hotel exactly near piazza navona . all the mornings we had our coffees at the wonderful terraces in piazza navona and i made some sketches there.
i realized this modern textural impressionist oil painting in impasto technique by applying thick layers of oil paints with different types of palette knives. in this way i am able to create various palette knife strokes and textures that, by interacting one with each other, give a semi abstract feeling to my paintings.
