In leading up to our dinner with @considerbardwellfarm this saturday (do you have tickets yet?!?) we are excited to introduce you to a few of our favorite cheeses from their creamery! -
this is 802 blue. a small format blue cheese made from raw cow's milk, 802 blue is the newest development from cbf! we love its creamy yet crumbly texture and the richness of the raw cows milk. it's a great blue cheese for both connoisseurs and "blue cheese haters" alike. it comes on softly with sweet and subtle flavors that warmly coat the palate, then finishes with just a hint of sharpness. -
Come eat good food made with great cheese and hang out with us, it’s the perfect way to kick off your saturday! tickets available in my bio!
*make plans for saturday now!*
consider bardwell farm was founded in 1864 and was vermont’s first dairy "cooperative.” back then they were known as "the pawlet cheese company," and their practices helped pave the road for the incredibly diverse history of vermont dairy farming and cheesemaking that we have all grown to love and enjoy today! true to their foundation and core values, consider bardwell farm upholds the same traditions in community based, sustainable agriculture as they did over 100 years ago. the cows and goats at their collective farms rotationally graze the area’s federally protected farmlands. their pigs are whey fed and enjoy rooting the grounds. their chickens are fully pasture raised. it's with this strict ethical dedication to animal husbandry that they have become one of only a handful of dairies to gain the certification “animal welfare approved.” -
