Fellow makers... do you sketch out your ideas before you start a new piece? i usually have an overall idea of how i want a piece to look before i start making it, but i think i need to start sketching things first to figure my proportions out. for example, with this cinderella mug, i was originally planning to glaze the lip a solid colour down to where the transfer starts but now i'm thinking it might look better to go right down to those buttons (covering part of the transfer). i like working things out on a 3d form, but as my time to work becomes more and more limited by my growing baby, i feel like sketching first might same me some time. how do you work best on a new form? sketching? on a 3d piece? something else? 🤔
The painting i showed yesterday-completed, still relatively calm...it was hard for me y'all! i wanted to fill up every last inch with detail...last pics show the progression. what i started with...well it wasn't my best so i covered the shizzle up. lol we are allowed to do that:) 'building blocks ' *i think it's a 20x20...but maybe a 24x24 i'm at home now and she's up at the shop.
-one experience after another, one decision, desire, and choice we make becoming the building blocks of our beings....perfectly imperfect.
Yes, i splurged on flower shop flowers (always worth it @mosspinkflora____ ). and, of course i wrapped them in my new @magiclinen napkin which i am totally swooning over. pale pink linen 💓 i adore linen. my mom hates it. i feel like it’s one of those things. do you all love it or hate it?
