The #evolution shirt gets its first outing at #svpca
if you follow my #embroidery account, @flower.patches you will already be familiar with this shirt. it's not finished yet and, space given, i'm hoping to add little critters all the way from the #ediacaran to the #cretaceous but given i'm more than halfway and i've only reached #tiktaalik that may not happen.....

🦖⚒ bolivia has the largest collection of dinosaur tracks in the world comprising footprints of 294 different kinds of dinosaurs, which are nearly 70 million years old, from the cretaceous era🦕🐾
.
▫️
📍 the place where its located is cal orcko, in the colonial city of sucre, southern bolivia 🇧🇴.
.
▫️
how were these tracks discovered? in 1994, while walking near a cement factory in bolivia, klaus schutt saw a limestone wall, with a vertical area of about 25,000 square meters covered with a lots of dinosaur footprints.
.
▫️
this was followed by scientific research in 1998 by paleontologists led by christian meyer, and they concluded that there were more than 5000 impressions, making it the largest dinosaur track found so far. with so many footprints on it, scientists said that it looked more like a dinosaur dance floor! 🕺🏻💃🏻
.
▫️
the grey rock cliff is huge, its 325 feet tall at around 70-degree angle. due to the movement of the tectonic plate the ancient lake bed was pushed vertically.
.
▫️
there are herbivore and carnivore tracks and the largest prints are more than three feet in length.
.
▫️
to preserve this site, cretaceous park has been opened for tourists, with replicas of dinosaurs welcoming them, and a museum to give more information about prehistoric times.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! goodluck to all the football fans out there! anyway, i finally was able to take pictures of the prime 1, 1:15th scale legacy museum collection jurassic park tyrannosaurus rex! she is just as beautiful as advertised. scroll through the gallery for all angles! she is available overseas from prime1.com and in the us through @chroniclecollectibles, but be warned she is sold out. wait list is always a possibility. i also did an unboxing video in terrible lighting with no production value for those interested, haha. it will be up on youtube and insta later tonight or tommorow and will be my first ever. i'll make a post when it is ready! thank you @prime1studio for selecting me to win the most beautiful rex i've ever seen!

Fossil friday ~ this extra large stunner ammonite shell has been cut and polished to show the incredible calcite crystals growing inside the chambers. this creature swam the cretaceous seas approximately 110 million years ago!

If i was allowed one #dinosaur as a pet this would be the one. the #psittacosaurus (the p is silent) was a dog-sized, asian dinosaur from the early #cretaceous . its name means parrot lizard and if you look closely at the head you can see why. the well preserved fossilized remains of psittacosaurus included reptilian-like skin impressions as well as long thin filaments extending from its tail.
