“when the shifts feel long and the days off feel short, go back to the day you found out you got the job. go back to how you felt like you hit the lottery that day, the day you realized your dream. we all go through seasons of slack, seasons where we aren't into the job as much as we should be. those are the seasons we must go back to who we said we would be, and the work we said we would do, to do the job right. go back to the day you realized you got the greatest job in the world. make that your new season.” -@fittofightfire

Ffpg tips: handie-talkie transmissions are a vital component of the ongoing size-up of the fire operation for all members and especially for members assigned to outside positions. important transmissions for these members to note include the fire location, a charged line, water on the fire, fire extended from original location or locations and reports of trapped victims.

Consistency is the name of the game folks. it’s waking up every day and committing to yourself, your progress, and your goals. everyone has what it takes to be their best selves, you just have to take it a day at a time and never stop grinding!
Cardio and chest and back workout tonight! i'm sure you have all noticed my workouts have been at home lately and haven't been to the gym in as long as i can remember. it's life. through life things change and so we have to adapt to those changes and just go with it. when i first started my journey it was walking and attempting home workouts. i realized i wasn't motivated enough to workout at home so i joined the gym and did stuff there. then i started group fitness (zumba) and that is where my spark really started. i was able to go to the gym and fitness classes because my hubby was able to watch the kids while i was away. his job has since changed and our daughter dances two nights a week 25 minutes away so it's a lot harder to get away. i've adapted though and thankfully we have a treadmill at home so i can use that along with what i've learned through this journey for my strength training. and honestly. i'm loving working out at home. i'm disciplined enough now to get my workouts in even if some days are harder than others. i can blast my music. sing as loud as i want. be with my kids. show my kids exercise. the list goes on. and really i can't get hugs in between sets if i go to the gym. see the other pics by swiping! i guess my whole point of this post is you can have success through videos, home workouts, group fitness, the gym. you have to find what works for you in your stage of life. if you want it bad enough, you will find a way to make it work for you regardless of your circumstances 💪🏻❤️
