Back home in good ol iowa!! thanks for a good time, katsucon. it was good to see everyone and overall i was pretty happy with my cosplays! i'm feeling very introspective about convention culture today but i'll spare you the details (read abt it on twitter if you'd like haha). here's a little clip of my dizzy cosplay from katsu! i really loved cosplaying her but i definitely need to lose some more weight and get a new wig before doing it again. hopefully she will make a comeback soon!!
Ours. distorted lullabies. takes me back to a few different memories. i recall seeing a commercial for it which had the #sometimes video playing. it made me want the album so bad. and i searched for it. this was at a time when record stores were everywhere and i loved the hunt to locate records. unfortunately i was young and didn’t have a ton of money to spend at the time. i found it at hmv in the @uppercanadamall in #newmarket#ontario but at the time it was 25.99 i believe and i had such a hard time spending that when i didn’t know what it was. so i waited and waited. i would look for it all the time. hoping it would be on sale. it never happened, but i always checked. i finally broke down many years later and purchased it and i kick myself for not doing it sooner. it is an incredibly beautiful record. brilliant song writing and singing by @jimmygneccoofficial the emotion and power in his voice is almost unimaginable. listening to #miseryhead reminds me of seeing them perform in #toronto. #dizzy and it’s falsetto take me to driving in my car trying to hit those notes and realizing that not only can i not sing. but i cannot reach anywhere near jimmy. this album started my obsession. and every record since has only furthered it. another #albumicantlivewithout for sure. #ours#distortedlullabies#jimmygnecco
