After long consideration i decided to visit svartisen glacier and so we found ourselves on a small boat that brought us to the place from where you can hike to the glacier. the sun was shining and as we took the first boat in the morning there weren't many people around yet which was really nice. that way we could take our time climbing the rocks up the mountain. yet again gadmo showed his mountain goat qualities and jumped up the rocky path so easily that the other people turned green in envy. the glacier itself shimmered white from the distance, but when we got closer you could see the intensive blue color underneath the white. water was constantly dripping from the edge, the sounds of the high "ping" mixed with the roaring of the waterfall which lead the combined melted ice to a turquoise lake.
it was quite an undertaking to get to the glacier as it meant another detour, but it was worth it. it's impressive to see so much ice in one place and shocking at the same time if you think about how much of it is already gone.
