Precut salad kits from the supermarket, are you a fan or no? 🤷♀️
this one was broccoli, daikon radish, cabbage and beetroot and it was pretty good. not as good as fresh but a hell of a lot quicker so a good option occasionally when you're short on time👍
i'd definitely ditch the pre-made dressings though and add something like olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper. just as quick and you might avoid a pretty long list of not so great dressing ingredients.
to say that i'm excited that i had leftovers of this for lunch today is an #understatement 😍 .

variations in meat cuts and how we choose to prepare meat can make a big difference in the f*t and calorie content. certain meat cuts have a higher f*t and calorie content, especially those containing skin, f*t around the edges and small lines of f*t within the meat (which can be hard to see). selecting cuts of meat that contain less f*t not only assists with reducing calorie intake, but also helps with reducing saturated f*t intake. a diet high in saturated f*t increases your "bad" cholesterol (ldl cholesterol) in your blood. this in turn promotes cholesterol to sit in your arteries, which can increase risks of dietary related diseases such as heart disease.
if it is too expensive or not practical to purchase leaner cuts of meat, then removing the skin or trimming the f*t from the meat can also assist with reducing the saturated f*t and calorie content.
all cuts of meat shown above are fine to consume in moderation. however if your goal is weight loss or maintaining optimal heart health, selecting the following cuts of leaner meat may be beneficial for you.

I’ve loved cucumbers for year. i remember asking my mum for chunks of cucumber to snack on while watching tv (it was either that or a teaspoon of butter that i’d slowly lick, don’t ask me why :-0 ) .⠀ ⠀
as they are basically 95% water with some fibre and a few vitamins, when you chew them properly (30 times per mouthful) they are a great digestive aid, and help to contribute to the hydration of your body (though nothing can replace actually water). you can snack on them or add them to salads, smoothies and juices to enjoy their benefits. ⠀
i know some people were concerned that cucumbers were oestrogen containing or stimulating, but there is also research that show the calcium d glucarate they contain actual helps to reduce your total oestrogen level. ⠀
and before you ask, no, i don’t recommend (or know a lot about) the vaginal cleanse which involves inserting a cucumber into your vagina, for many reasons it just doesn’t sound right to me! ⠀

Its that time of the year again: the cozy sweater time 😍😍❤️❤️ it’s my boyfriends birthday today and i prepared so much him 🙈 he gets three beautiful presents 🎁, i made muffins and a cake 🎂 for him and i will do everything to make this day perfect for him. unfortunately he went partying with his friends yesterday so i hope that his hangover won’t be to bad 🙈❤️ have a lovely tuesday angels ❤️❤️
Today was as delicious as this choc mango berry smoothie bowl! we didn’t go far for our family day, in actual fact we really didn’t do anything special. we slept in, cooked pancakes, did our usual walk, and ate some yum food. we cooked dinner, ate together, now h is fast asleep and survivor is playing. this might not be your ideal but it is on days like this that i know i am truly happy with my life. every moment was filled with smiles, cuddles, laughter and so much love. we don’t need big activities to fill our day - we just need each other. it’s in the simplest of moments where life happens and memories are made, you just have to slow down enough to see them ✨
I’m not gonna lie - i’m not over the cauliflower obsession. chewin’ away this #chewsday on this cauli and chickpea salad - roasted with luscious herbs and spices, and served with tahini dressing, spinach and quinoa it’s a filling and nourishing meat free dish perfect for lunch, dinner, a bbq, post workout or to share with friends 🌿 what its a cruciferous vegaroo, so belongs in the same family as broccoli, bok choy, brussels sprouts, cabbage and turnips 🌿 why loaded with antioxidants (vitamin c, k and beta carotene) to help protect your body from diseases like cancer, heart disease and arthritis 🌿 a fair wack of fibre will help keep your gut happy 🌿 how chop it up and roast it with spices like cumin, coriander and garlic • process and make a low calorie rice alternative • purée and press into a pizza base • smother it in pesto and cheese and bake 🌿
