hundreds of millions of male chicks born in the egg industries worldwide are "culled" each year because they cannot produce eggs. these chicks are not raised for their "meat" either, because their breed is different from the chickens used for poultry which are bred to reach optimal slaughter weight at around 45 days.
culling male chicks is not a process egg consumers can avoid, as it takes place regardless of whether the egg is produced in a caged, free range or even organic system. methods of culling include cervical dislocation, asphyxiation by carbon dioxide and maceration using a high speed grinder.
would you be able to k**l one of these chicks with your own hands?
there’s this big misconception that changing to a non animal based lifestyle (vegan) is difficult, but when we focus on the innocent victims instead of ourselves, what we once thought of as difficult disappears. it turns into justice and the right thing to do. protect the vulnerable.
who can say no to these double chocolate 🍫 muffins with peanut 🥜 butter frosting?!😍 super delicious and made with only natural plant 🌿 based ingredients. treat yourself or the ones you love 💕
I broke my 16/8 fast for the first time since i started it on a whim maybe a month ago. i have a few bits in the fridge that i don't wanna waste before we go away and i'm not planning to continue doing the fasting when i'm away as it will be hard when we are out for long amounts of time. i posted a pic of my waffles the other day (no recipe) because they were a bit shit. they looked good though 🤣🤣🤣 anyhow i had a ton of leftover batter so i added more sugar, and more milk to make it thinner and cooked for less time and these are much nicer today!! so it was user error. topped with peanut butter, raspberries, @naturescharm salted caramel sauce and maple syrup!! fit!!

All the pinks 💞
wasn't really feeling breakfast this morning so opted for a small bowl of @alpro plain yoghurt with raspberries, goji berries, cacao nibs and some homemade granola (that i didn't burn for once) 😶
Day 52: cardio flow & a transformation tuesday! on the left i was about 2 months postpartum. i had recently gotten the go ahead to workout from my doctor but i had zero clue where to start and losing the baby weight seemed so daunting. it would be another 3 months until i found something i could commit to (21 day fix) and that worked for me. i thrive in a structured environment. having each workout and a meal plan laid out for me made all the difference. when carson was diagnosed with food allergies, the meal planning had to completely change to fit our new allergy free home and that is something we are still figuring out 2 years later. our home is allergy free but the 80 day obsession meal plan has been difficult to follow. we are still cooking our favorite allergy friendly meals, but paying much more attention to portioning! i am seeing results, even though it feels like it has been soooo slow. looking back at where i started, i see such a difference not only in the physical appearance of my face but how much happier i look today. recently, i have felt much more confident about our management of carson’s food allergies as a family and this has given me the peace of mind to start focusing on me for a little bit each day. 🤗 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
