Being at an all day public event is certainly challenging when you have a chronic illness.
at the #socialsaturday pop up market my pain and fatigue started to flare - which kick started my anxiety...if i was at home i would find a quiet space but when you are working that’s not always possible! everything started to become heightened, my senses were going into overdrive. then i remembered i had some material and thread in my bag.
i sat down and started stitching. it wasn’t too long before my anxiety was calmed, my senses were balancing out once again and my pain was niggling rather than ferocious. best of all i could join in with conversations once again!
i’m definitely going to add a couple of squares of material to my flare up kit from now on, alongside my pens, paper and heat pad. would love to know what you have in your flare up kits? oh and be kind to yourself today! 💕
