Threads: second edition showcases works by artists from around australia working in the medium of embroidery. a historically maligned medium, embroidery has often been dismissed from art history. this exhibition brings it to the forefront, featuring works by artists who are expanding, and perhaps challenging, preconceptions of the craft of embroidery.
angie connell’s artistic practice spans both digital photography and fibre based mediums. under her creative title oddball tails, she specialises i’m celebrating pets and the effect they have on our lives one click or stitch at a time.
