What a week it's been. so glad it's finally the weekend! we had a successful event last weekend telling the world (well the ladies of wilmington) about the joanna naturals range of products. body butters were very popular along with the joanna naturals signture intense facial oil. it's a great feeling knowing that people are out there using and loving your creations. it was then a swap over into my other job and a very busy week filming. leaving the house at 5.30am and arriving home at 9pm has made for a tiring but interesting week. a lack of sleep is not great for the skin though!
it's funny how some weeks can feel quite routine and others completely mad! after a busy period it can be difficult to come back down and learn how to relax again.
We feel that the synergy and quality of our oils in our facial serums is what makes them so effective. for example, in our radiant glow and radiant rose serums we unite only the freshest cold-pressed seed oils for maximum skin rejuvenation. oils such as pomegranate, rosehip, jojoba, meadowfoam, sea buckthorn co2 extract and camellia are some favorites. camellia has been highly regarded for centuries in asia for its restorative effect on the skin; an exalted skin secret of the geishas. similar to meadowfoam, it has excellent moisture retaining properties. it corrects rough and flaky skin, soothes easily irritated complexions, and provides some ultraviolet protection to help remedy hyperpigmentation and age spots. it supplies a plethora of nutrients for skin health and rejuvenation, such as squalene, vitamins, and minerals that easily penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin, leaving it protected, supple and ultra soft.
Like many other people i also have confusion & misconception when it comes to skincare oils. whenever i discuss about face oils i usually end up listening: “don’t use #oil if you have an #oilyskin.”
everyone think that adding oil to your skin care routine will add more oil to your skin. but after listening to others & researching i decided to give these oils a try. and after trying i came to a conclusion that the statement "face oil makes your skin more oily "is truly a myth not a fact.
#facialoils helps control sebum production.so today’s post is all about face oils. a detailed look at what face oils can do, the best oils according to skin types,& what i am using
there are so many oils present in the market but i am mentioning some of them below according to the most needed situations.
#argan: argan oil is rich in essential fatty acids & vitamin e so it's great to use for hydration. no matter what your skin type is, it will work for you.

A little third-party validation never hurts! here’s a #funfact for your friday - celebs love beautycounter too! oh, and the duchess of sussex and i just so happen to have the same beautycounter makeup bag. that means i’m basically a princess, right?! 💁🏻♀️👑 she has been a lover of clean beauty and our facial oils right from the start! check out that this excerpt from her interview with makeup.com! 👇 also, ciara’s makeup artist uses our tint skin hydrating foundation and matte bronzer no. 2 to achieve her flawless, natural glow! love it! 👌 have you tried our tint skin foundation our face oils? these are 2 of my favorite products! if not, what are you waiting for...don’t just take my word for it! .
She’s not the prettiest mix but she protects my irritable and peeling face from further damage.
economic principle of “no such thing as a free lunch” is very much at play with this whole retinol purge period. want to start retinol? ok ya sacrificing 3-6 weeks of your face looking good. want to remain flake free ish throughout the day? ok, but you’ll be pretty d**n greasy and shiny!
i tend to schedule my chemical actives introduction around my life. i prefer to have great skin and a minimal routine when i’m traveling or have a big event. right now i got nothing but work and chill, so it’s the perfect time to purge.
this is a mix of @aveneusa soothing moisture mask, @skinbiologycosmetics emu oil, and pure tamanu oil. the mask is a rich, calming cream which makes an excellent carrier for oils. emu oil is rich, fatty, and sensitized skin friendly (similar to lanolin.) tamanu oil is healing and soothing. the combination smells not-great and does give me a distinct shiny look first thing in the morning, but it staves off the hot, irritated feel and peelies that usually crop up midday during a retinol intro day.
wish to god i had known this all when i started tretinoin at age 15.

I could write a love letter to this little bottle. @themarabeauty sent me their universal face oil to test and review and i am so grateful! this has quickly climbed its way to the top of my list.
this oil is extremely moisturizing and has completely cleared up the pesky dry spots on my face. it leaves my skin perfectly dewy and plump every morning and i live for that mara beauty glow. i use this little love every other night (rotated with my lapis oil) and it has quickly become my favorite part of my routine! with such a rich blend of algae and superfood plant oils, it fights free radicals and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. i will repurchase this until my money runs out 🙏🏼
Glowing skin around the clock @rosiesbeauty facial oils are also beneficial to use as they will help to nourish your skin. rose, argan, sunflower seed and chia seed oils are all great sources of good oils that will provide antioxidants and replenishment to your barrier layer. try the age smart overnight repair serum for night and phyto replenish oil for daytime dewy skin. lastly, my go-to moisturiser in winter is super rich repair which is the heavy weight, richest of dermalogica moisturisers. i personally recommend this soothing, hydrating and protective cream because as an outdoor winter sports enthusiast it works so well for my dry and thirsty skin.#facialoils#oils#arganoil#serum#dermalogica#facials#spa#beauty
