Prayer requests? drop them below 🙏
don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to god. and the peace of god, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in christ jesus.

Hey sis,
had another one on my heart. here it is:

how many times have i put my trust in people, money, my job, possessions, myself, or any external circumstances? countless times. •
the challenge of trusting the seen things of this world is that they are all subject to change. anything we can see, and feel, will and can change. this might also be encouraging to us. if something is happening in the natural that we don’t agree with, we can access christ’s power through prayer. we have the keys to the kingdom. we can pray for his kingdom to come, and his will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. we have the power to call things as they are not, and we know how much god loves to give gifts to his children. •
although, what if my foundational trust has been in the seen things of this world without me fully realizing it? what if the reason for my prayers have only been for blessings to come forth? what if my communion with christ has only been a wish list rather than true fellowship with him? how much more do i want jesus himself over every seen thing in this world? •
jesus is looking for deep relationship with us, and my friend, he is worth it. he is the most precious jewel. he is the immovable, unshakeable rock and fortress of our lives. never changing, always steady, and ready to meet us exactly where we are. his presence is more valuable than anything this world can offer. his love is greater than any sickness, hardship or pain we face. his grace and mercy endures forever. •
press into his presence & trust him above anything you can see. he longs to welcome you into his loving arms. he’s inviting you to sit at his feet. lay it all down right there, with christ.
so we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. for the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 corinthians 4:18)

yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing christ jesus my lord. for his sake i have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that i could gain christ (philippians 3:8)
