It's been a while since i last visited @beta5chocolates, enjoyed the new lychee and rose flavour very much, the cream was very light and not too sweet (even with the macaroon!), while the puff is airy and has a slightly crunchy shell.
• lychee rose - lychee mousse, rose whipped ganache, raspberry macaroon.
• bubblegum - banana whipped ganache, strawberry citrus mouse (tasted indeed like bubblegum!)
You can’t beat a great pasta! @thelemonapron
mray i present my harissa bruschetta pasta?! the ‘sauce’ is a kicky no-cook combo of finely diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, and parsley which is tossed in a harissa olive oil blend (thanks to my trusty tube of @entube harissa paste) and seasonings.
once the pasta is done (use a pasta that can hold onto the ‘sauce’) put it in a baking dish and smother it with the sauce. freshly grated cheese is sprinkled on top and it all goes into the broiler for a second or two. so really, not a lot of heat is required, and it’s a great veggie main. the best of summer tomatoes and basil in this breezy dish.
Loaded nachos with....kale? 🧐 not because i was trying to be healthy. but because i didn't realize i was out of corn, and i felt like it needed at least one more topping 🤷 pretty tasty, actually.
green peppers, black beans, kale, and @daiyafoods new pepperjack cheese (that doesn't suck! 👍), on some @quepasafoods chips. 🍅 also, homemade fresh salsa!!
Not the best photo but you gotta give props to these little ones for surviving a whole day from vancouver to poco back to burnaby (and being stuffed in my friend's backpack😳). ➡️swipe for display case photo
1. matcha bamboo
2. chantilly fraise
3. pistache framboise
5. matcha financier
i loved them all! these are stuffed so good and the choux aren't dry. i wasn't a huge fan of the financier though 😝 and would rather stick to the eclairs. i also liked having the option of getting mini eclairs because you can try different flavours without too much commitment! plus i think it was a good price too, 4 for ~$12?
Every once in a while i'll see a recipe and know i need to make it asap. when i saw the spinach falafel recipe from @thugkitchen, i made space for it on our weekly dinner plan immediately. because i can't resist a good falafel 👍
i gotta tell you, these did not disappoint! super easy to make, taste delicious, and hello, check out that vibrant green interior! you might even say they were...falafelly good 😉 i served them up with homemade tzatziki, pita, roasted veggies, and pickled red onion. yum! 💚
what was on your dinner menu tonight? did you try something new or go tried and true? 😋
