ecomumma Homemade yoghurt... semi success! 😂 taste is amazing! so much fresher and lighter then store bought. loooots of whey though and wondering @agutfeeling if i should try a different starter for a thicker consistency? or some @greatlakesgelatin? totally don't mind straining this batch though and using the whey in my smoothies. (if you havnt tried straining yoghurt to make labneh and using the whey to ferment and add to smoothies, you should!) @simple_swaps @tenneayle i'm hooked! i used the thermy to heat, cool and whisk in the starter if you have one. 🤗🤗🤗

fermented_betty.kerris If you’ve attended my workshops you’ll know i always b**g on about using everyday stuff to ferment food and drink. one quick stop to an op shop will get you on the road. big bottles for brewing kombucha/kefir (2x3l ones here!!) jars for fermenting veggies, heavy glass objects for keeping your k***t sink and yoghurt makers. please don’t spend a fortune, you don’t have to!! ps, i sadly left the bottles there, but they were good ones!!! happy fermenting! kerris xx #fermentedbetty #idontsuckatfermenting #opshopper #imakemyown #fermenting #fermentedfoods #fermentingworkshop

of_the_gods ... again the blossoms capture me ... .. i searched for a picture of a blossom tree as i didn’t have my camera to catch the one that truly caught my attention. .. it wasn’t just the beauty of its blossoms it was its scent and it’s colour as well it was glorious. .. at this time of year when stone fruits are ripe we see the blossoms everywhere. they love the warmth to fully explode into the day. .. this time of year is summer in southern hemisphere and we get it long and hot. and in the lead up to litha in only a week or so we see that build up and we feel it. it leads us to the power of nature at its fullest .. it comes at a time of year when so much is happening. it’s a festive end to a year. bringing together family and then a new beginning. .. and t amazes me that along with this timing w wha e the blossoms. in japan they are the symbol of life death and renewal. a perfect flowering moment for this season. other cultures use it as a reminder to take in the very moments we have. another perfect reminder. .. so i take in the blossoms even more and notice their scent and beauty. and think of this time of year and all it brings. .. so much comes in the next month. .. be gentle. be kind. give. do the best you can and find time for silence to enjoy looking around. .. #blossoms #withlove #ofthegods

lizabuzytsky A handsome threesome of some living foods...sans studio my creative drive has turned to #sprouting and #fermenting with a total overhaul of what i am putting into my body coming on 35 years on planet earth. all the right kind of creamy, white and delicious, kefir is known as the ‘champagne of dairy’ while both almond mylk and chia pudding (essentially organic coconut milk with those little guys we made into pets in the 80’s - chia) are loaded with nutrients. but mostly, they keep me satiated and migraine free day to day. food is medicine, kids. 🤗
