This weekend was a whirlwind. i got to facepaint both days at san diego pride with @sdmarcia (something i've wanted to do for quite some time), and i was scheduled to work both nights at the restaurant. after lugging our supplies around and being out in the heat along with two busy serving shifts, i was physically exhausted. i'm actually surprised my legs didn't fall off tbh! but my heart is full, and i'd do it all again. 🌈❤😍🤩😍❤🌈 i loved having the opportunity to participate in the magic that is pride. i love that a safe space exists for everyone to express themselves authentically without judgement. it was inspiring seeing everything and everyone come together in celebration of the progress we've made, and it brings me hope that we can create a world where everyone is free to be themselves and free to love who they love. i loved being able to participate and bring joy to so many children and parents through art. just thinking about it makes my heart so happy. 🌈🌈🌈 for all these things, i am so grateful, and from the bottom of my heart, happy pride! xoxo, bolty 🌈🌈🌈 #pride ***a special thank you to greg sorini for helping us load all of our stuff onto the truck and giving us a safe, fun ride there and back each day. we couldn't have done it without you!*** p.s. if you don't already follow my face painting page, i encourage you to check out some of my fun rainbow designs @boltyfx . 🌈🤩🌈🤩🦋👩🏼🎨
Play. it shouldn’t just be something we do if we have time, it should the way of life.
i’m relearning to make play my everyday without feeling guilty for it. we have so many ‘to-do’ lists and try to make our lives busy so we appear productive that we forget the whole point of it all is ~ to simply enjoy life. so this weekend, i’m off to splendour in the grass to immerse myself in fun 🤗 if you’re heading up there too and want to meet up, dm me and maybe we can play together 👯♀️
