In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
this seems to be a forgotten trait too often. i myself, sometimes need the reminder.
the other day my daughter asked me why people write such mean things about classmates on the bathroom walls at school. i honestly didn't know what to say. it's important to me to be able to help my children understand the world and how it works. after some thought, i ended up saying, "for some of them it looks fun and liberating. for others they are angry or hurt- and acting out. either way it's wrong, and as humans we are flawed and make mistakes everyday. unfortunately, when it comes to hate and harsh criticism the effect is always worse and long lasting. what took them 5 seconds to write on the wall, might negatively effect the person it was about for years. it's never worth it."
so in any case, when roads are divided and people are pulling the he said, she said even on platforms like instagram...be kind.

For my monday motivation i decided to look back on my journey so i found a pic from begging of summer last year, i had forgotten about that silly foot brace, but there is my back brace in all it's glory. not much muscle tone on me at all back then.
it is important we stop and take a rear view look at our journeys so we remember how far we have come and we can see the beautiful place we are in right now.
