I get asked many times about the tools that i use when carving so i thought i would do a post about my process.
i normally used reclaimed or seasoned timber when carving, so i use a bandsaw to cut down the shapes that i want to work with. i only use 2 knives when carving, the @morakniv 106 and 162. i very rarely sand my work, i prefer to leave a faceted knife edge showing marks of production. i treat my products in organic flax seed oil.
i have just restocked the online shop with 10 sets of spoon blanks for those of you who would like to carve their own, and if you would like to learn more i have spaces in my workshop @daylesfordfarm this january and @benkandbo over the coming months.
