Love this post by my good friend @marcuseicefit. (⬅️ follow him). the misconceptions about how to live a healthy life are out there and marcus does a great job of clearing it up. know someone who could benefit from reading this? tag ‘em below ⬇️. @regrann from @marcusricefit - i get a lot of questions from people who are at a loss about how to "be healthy" and live that lifestyle because they have misconceptions about what it means. - they think they need to eat perfectly "clean" all the time and cut out completely all these foods and drinks that they enjoy. - they view exercise as something that has to be done almost obsessively every day, and it's not "with" their body, it's "against" it. the difference is vast. - they become so worried about calories that they stop being able to enjoy themselves when they are out with friends or at other social events. - they think fitness and health needs to consume their life, and they (rightly) don't want that to happen and so they never start. - i've got good news for you, my friends. it doesn't have to be that way. for the average person, it shouldn't be that way. - instead, eat a lot of healthy, nutritious foods because you want to nourish your body...but understand that balance is good and healthy in and of itself. - instead, celebrate your body with exercise 3-5 x/week. - instead of obsessing over calories and not enjoying yourself with your friends, understand that there is room for some pizza. and some ice cream. and a beer or mixed drinks out with your crew. - instead, realize that if fitness isn't making you feel more energized and helping you thrive more day-to-day, then maybe you're not doing it quite right. - hope this brought you some value, fam. tag a friend who could use this and leave your thoughts below as always. i'd love to connect. - much love, marcus -
