I gotta be honest, i am definitely not where i should be physically in regards to my prep for this show.
.
the goal was to be much more lean this close to my show.
.
it’s no ones fault but my own. i made conscious decision after conscious decision to not adhere to my diet, telling myself that one time won’t hurt.
.
and honestly one time during your prep will not make a difference.
.
but when that “one time” happens almost 3-4 times a week, then you’re (i’m) setting yourself (myself) up for failure.
.
like i said, you hear it all the time, and it’s so cliche, but most cliche sayings are true… the only way to truly fail is to give up altogether.

I’ve been decently lazy these last 2 weeks but i think i kind of needed that. i haven’t skipped a single week of working out in 1.5 years and i’m being 100% honest. •
i’m slowly getting back into the groove of things and getting back on top of my game.

with that being said here is my new workout split:
monday - pull (front lever focus)
tuesday - push (strength focus)
wedsnday - leg (strength focus)
thursday - pull (hyper focus)
friday - push (hyper focus)
saturday - legs (hyper focus)
sunday - rest

It's a perfect day to train some legs! 😎 might include some biceps. taking it easy on the glutes as they are still a little sensitive.😂 guess i really destroyed them this monday.

Being sick sucks! for the past week our house has been trying to get through the first cold of the season (it came home from school with one of the kids).
.
after 2 days of feeling miserable, i was finally feeling better today...enough to work out, at least. "core cardio and balance" was on the schedule from yesterday, and it's a bit less strenuous which made it a good fit for today. .
the "balance" aspect was a real problem for me the first time through this program. 😕 i was never a very athletic person while growing up, and had a hard time with a lot of the balancing...along with the long holds (which work muscles in a whole new way and hurts!). okay...the cardio was a huge challenge when i first started, too. 😉

it's amazing how a few minutes per day can really add up to huge changes over time! 😎

The biggest frustration for me was is that i needed someone to tell me what to do. which is so silly because i know how to google, i bought more then enough fitness magazines, @shape i went to the gym. i lost weight, i spent a lot of time doing cardio. i did light weights. but i didn’t see a drastic change until i found a group of moms who were doing the same thing & shared what to eat & which workouts worked for them. •

There’s a million and more reasons to invest in a good personal trainer, but let me list out my top 5 reasons:
1. learning form: learning proper form on every. single. exercise. this will make every movement the most effective to get the results you want, not to mention avoiding possible injury.
2. accountability: if you have someone that you physically have to meet up with, or check in with. it’ll be a lot harder to skip out on the gym and it’ll be easier to remain consistent.
3.proper programming: there’s so much that goes into reaching your goals. the right selection of exercises, sets x reps, tempo of movements, rest times and more.
4.avoiding plateaus: plateaus happen🤷🏽‍♀️ but don’t worry! a good personal trainer has the solution for that, we know how and what to switch up to keep you making gains!
5. lifetime skills: the skills you learn from your personal trainer are skills that you will have for a lifetime. see it as an investment!

Progress 😬😬🏋🏻‍♂️ doing daily at home work outs to stay #fit ;) still not eating great though haha 😝 weight has always been a huge struggle for me, but not in the common way. growing up as a competitive swimmer, runner, tennis player - among others, i have a stupidly fast metabolism. if you go through my feed you’ll see i was equally toned but clearly heavier and more filled out just a month or two ago. keeping my body at a steady weight has always been near impossible for me. i fit into my clothes differently every week. so i am so happy to see some weight staying on. gotta keep the calories coming and taking care of myself :)) __________________________
