Part of the new dior backstage collection: the glow face palette, highlight&blush. i loved the 2 deluxe samples of the @diormakeup backstage foundation i got from @sephora ( and it’s on the way but there’s nothing amazing to see there) ordering this piece of the collection was actually... to be honest, a direct answer to the question- “hmm wheat do i do with the abh dream glitter kit... i mean glow kit- so sorry, not sorry, and the four smashed pans that arrived inside that kit?” well i’ve returned that kit because smashed or not, and regardless of how well it photographs, it’s just wayyyy too glittery in person for my taste. the dior here is the exact opposite- it is very, very blinding, but it doesn’t must be, and even though the picture here with flash makes it seem otherwise for some bizarre reason, no glitter!!! yayyyyy!! now i’ve put it on my bare face( it just arrived) and it’s all the makeup i’m wearing so no photos at the end of this sweaty gardening day. i will say this- you might think the colors and formula look overly common and/or familiar, but i assure you those would be wrong assumptions. on the face it is one of the smoothest 50 some odd highlighters i own( favorite list of makeup pics coming soon- as well as shots from the glow single ‘laguna’ from @personacosmetics ) so.. smooth and incredibly blendable. it’s easy to see why it’s part of the ‘makeup artist’s collection,’ e.g. normally one might use the light gold shade and then dab a bit of the whitish shade on the very edge of the cheekbone for an xtra effect, but these glow babies blend together so easily! it doesn’t look like layers of highlighter stripes, nor does it result in ‘too blinding’ of a glow( which i know doesn’t exist for some people but hey i’m old!) it simply melts like butter- an extra color- right where you place it. as far as the pink: it is shimmery so it would be best as a highlighter or blush topper in my opinion, at least for fair to light skin, maybe for more of a range, idk i’m just me. the bronzey shade would make an excellent mix with a matte bronzer that’s just perhaps... too matte for summer, and again the formula is so light and easily blended! tons of options!
